[Rejected] NERTS! Tournament

NERTS! Online is a free steam game that is as simply put as competitive solitary. I think that having an event to do with this game would be great fun and would turn out to be a good event! You can have up to 6 players in one game so I think the best way for this to be carried out is in a tournament format until the last 6 are against each other winner take all. Or just however one would have an event with competitive solitaire.

I like the competitive idea of a tournament based event but..Solitaire? That’s one of the most boring games to play in my opinion which I don’t think will bring in players to be quite honest.

If you have/had another game in mind that would be more “attention grabby” then I’d be more stoked bout the idea.

Overall I like where your head is at with the competition concept but the game you chose to use for it isn’t the best IMO.

People shit on NERTS! after not playing it. NERTS isn't just "solitaire" ... It's COMPETITIVE solitaire. It takes CRITICAL thinking skills and play styles that are earned from grinding and learning for years. You haven't experienced real competitive gameplay until you are racing to Nerts with 5 other people hoping to get your cards down. I will admit the game doesn't seem that exciting when being read off of a forum post by some dumbass, but it is really fun to play with friends.

There isn't enough interest in this from the community for us to have a good reason to host it.
