Phoenix_ Posted January 21, 2021 Content Count: 1920 Joined: 05/04/16 Status: Offline Share Posted January 21, 2021 (edited) So I remember back when I was AT (now SM) for a short time, we had to manually update the CS:GO servers when an update came out for CS:GO. It seems that this is still the case. Is it possible to automatically update the servers when a new patch comes out? Are there security concerns with that and that's why it's not done? This isn't me complaining about the servers not being updated in a timely manner, it's just something I am curious about. It just seems easier in certain situations to have servers automatically update, but as with everything else in the world, it's probably not all that simple. 3 Edited March 15, 2021 by Mace Link to comment

Automatic updating would be convenient, but updates come at inconvenient times usually. By doing it manually, we can control when the update is applied that way we aren't shutting down a full server. 3 Link to comment
