All Ts Posted April 25, 2021 Content Count: 4441 Joined: 05/28/16 Status: Offline Share Posted April 25, 2021 I’ve seen a lot of admins hard enforcing a 1:2 ratio while the Ts are pummeling the guards on the hardest maps. That is not what our rules reflect aswell as several active regulars under the impression that ratio freedays exist. There’s also that the old plugin had it hard locked to 1:2 before it’s removal. Again, this directly contradicts the ruleset on the server. The current ratio plugin being broken I do have a small suggestion for a change after or during it’s fix that sticks with the historical way of doing things while also trying to protect the Ts from what would be torture. It might better to have it at 2:3, this is a simple fix. To expand on that perhaps only allowing CTs with X rank on the team already to swap over past 1:2. That isn’t to say an admin couldn’t swap them off of CT or onto CT if they felt there was an issue. We did this for a long while because sometimes the CTs do need 1-3 more people on certain maps or depending on the quality of the CTs they’re sometimes desperate for a leader. I hate playing CT, but the plugin breaking has enabled me to swap over to lead them so the server doesn’t implode atleast a dozen times now. There are other creative ways you could mitigate this, a check for # of round wins past a sample size of 3-4 and see if CTs hold majority to trigger a team balance(swapping lowest point players), a check for what map is being played (sounds better tbh) for balancing the team to 1:2 vs. 2:3. There are a lot of ways to go about doing it (interested to hear other ideas) but for the time being if we’re not going to have a warden-esque plugin on the server we really should consider either changing the rules (maybe because someone thinks CTs are somehow strong now) or looking at keeping it as more of a mitigation tool than a hard lock. 5 Link to comment
TheZZL Posted May 3, 2021 Content Count: 3294 Joined: 10/28/18 Status: Offline Share Posted May 3, 2021 (edited) The plugin is not currently broken. It enforces a 2:3 ratio, only when there are more than 16 players online. Admins are free to enforce whatever ratio they see fit for the server when they're administrating, 1:2 or 2:3. If they think the CTs are dominating too much they can swap people off to make it 1:2 and vice versa. No, ratio freedays, or freedays at all, are not mandatory as written by yourself here: On 11/24/2018 at 1:36 AM, All Ts said: Q- Are there ratio or first day freedays? A- As explained in the rules, "Guards are NEVER required to give freedays". This includes if ratio is bad, or if its the first day. It's always nice to go back to the rules if you're in a disagreement with someone over them, and then you can politely point out if they're wrong. For reference: As for expanding the plugin, we have other projects we'd like more focus on rather than adding small QOL changes to a plugin that already works fine. If anyone else cares to comment about the current plugin go ahead, or @Dom if you have something else to say. Edited May 3, 2021 by TheZZL Link to comment

I remember reading that the plugin was disabled due to the map switch dilemma or Is that now not the case as its been repurposed for larger server pops Link to comment
