I'm planning on coming to the US as an exchange student next year for the first semester .. Just wondering if anyone could recommend any good schools near or around LA / Miami ( or elsewhere nice and warm .. ) I'm planning of setting the whole thing up myself so no stupid exchange programs that I have to pay triple for and will end up in random places ( like a farm or an A-Social family ... ) Anyway .. I got to find a high school... so maybe name some few good schools ? Public or private - I don't know what the difference really is .. maybe explain what the main differences are ? I do know that Private is better but in which way ? Better teachers, better educational system or what ? Thanks ! Heard enough bad things about miami Im sure thats out .. but what about LA / Long beach / somewhere else nice and warm in California .. near a big city possibly ? Public schools = free Private schools = paid Generally private schools are thought of as better, some even guarantee entrance into a University, but most of us do just fine in public schools. Sorry, don't know much about the school system in LA other than that it's complete shit, and if you plan to live here you ought to go to a private school (which will cost you a shitload of money, I hope your family is fucking loaded).
