Anyone from california / miami ?

Hey, just wondering if anyone's from california or miami ?

I'm planning on coming to the US as an exchange student next year for the first semester ..

Just wondering if anyone could recommend any good schools near or around LA / Miami ( or elsewhere nice and warm .. )

 

I'm planning of setting the whole thing up myself so no stupid exchange programs that I have to pay triple for and will end up in random places ( like a farm or an A-Social family ... )

 

Anyway .. I got to find a high school... so maybe name some few good schools ?

Public or private - I don't know what the difference really is .. maybe explain what the main differences are ? I do know that Private is better but in which way ? Better teachers, better educational system or what ?

Heard enough bad things about miami Im sure thats out .. but what about LA / Long beach / somewhere else nice and warm in California .. near a big city possibly ?

Im from miami. What do you need to know?

 

Fl- warm and wet, Cubans, hatians, island people.

CA: mexicans, white people, asians, west coast style lifestyle. hot, not so humid.

It would be hard to recommend a high school from Miami-Dade county.

 

Public schools = free

Private schools = paid

 

Generally private schools are thought of as better, some even guarantee entrance into a University, but most of us do just fine in public schools.

well actually I would like to know a bit more about Los angeles / california .. cuz miami is a kind of last resort backup

Florida is nice but what I've recently heard not-so-good stuff about miami .. so maybe then west palm beach or fort lauderdale .. ?

If you could get into Coral Reef in Miami, Palmetto, Braddock, or a private school called Archbishop Curley, its pretty okay, the rest of the schools there is little good to be said in MDCS

Sorry, don't know much about the school system in LA other than that it's complete shit, and if you plan to live here you ought to go to a private school (which will cost you a shitload of money, I hope your family is fucking loaded).

i live in miami and rgo to high school at robert morgan educational center aka robert morgan senior high school. its an awesome high school and were ranked better than coral reef. however we have no sports but i play football for southridge up until my accident. i highly recommend you come to miami due to the weather and atmosphere
