Please stop trying to talk intelligently about Valorant. It is CSGO with pretty colors and cool abilities.

and infinitely less cheaters (from my experience)

I enjoy the game, but yknow... bad internet etc etc makes me not want to grind it like others have been doing.

Valorant is a simpleton's game. The game in it's purest form can be more strategical. But tbh this game most of the time is all aim no brain. When the game is more strategic it's chaos, especially when you have someone's ability to just quickly flash anyone in the site because the way the sites are made it favors abilities and is way to open. And can we talk about how this games recoil patterns are just fucking random, like who tf thought of that at riot games. Now I want to talk about the stupidity in the map making. Icebox is a solid but weird map which I think many can agree with. The main way to get to b you can see the inspiration is of b site inferno with the banana. There is only one problem with this they have fucking abilities so characters like Jett, sage and, literally all the characters can get up there on sage wall this completely destroys the meaning of a banana because defenders usually can't fight for it. That part of the map is so crucial to the defenders to stop setups and to counter pushes towards b that it feels that to be reliable of icebox you have to gamble stack some times. Now this isn't the only problem I have with Icebox because, wtf is the meaning of 5 entrances into site. Mid can easily be split with smokes and can rush into b fast because the other b defender that usually sits closer towards apartments/heaven has to cover a view different angles at once while the 2 or even 1 defender(s) that is trying to hold down site as well can be overwhelmed. The complaints I have for others maps are miniature and don't contribute much towards the game. Now with breeze, I love it. I think it's one of the best maps to play right now. The only complaint I would have would be that B defenders sit 3 spots usually and can't really move around from some spots. But other than that this map is very very good. the layout for mid is nowhere near as AWP/OP sided as people think and it's very hard to split b which I think is a positive. A on the other hand is very complex and you can have different angles and there are many ways to get into site. Which actually makes sense in this map because of how open it actually is. Puting pressure on A is so important in this map and I have to say riot have crafted it perfectly. The far peak and the close peak are very good for attackers but the sites can be exploited by the defenders it's a beautiful combination of both advantages and depends on actual brain power and skill to win the round/game. Anyway I could put in how the pros that people respect so much couldn't preform on LAN, other than Hiko and Nitro these guys choke when there brain has to calculate 2+2. Thanks for reading my shitpost.

I'm by no means the best aimer and yet I was able to climb to top 3k and still going so I'm not sure you're correct in your assessment. The spray is also not random. If you spray at a wall, 10/10 its gonna be a number 7 with a vandal. Maybe it's not as consistent as CSGO sprays but it's not csgo so your point there is invalid. B is not crucial to defend at all and is one of the easiest sites to retake in the game besides b on haven.  Here's my resume: spacer.png

It's true, you aren't the best aimer. The spray is in fact random, when I shoot a wall it's in fact the letter 8 that appears on the wall. Exactly how the deagle would be if you'd spam a wall on CSGO. B is absolutely crucial if not essential to defend. And is nearly impossible to actually play defense on might i add. Here's my resume:

Valorant is an incredible game when you realize it's still essentially brand new and its biggest competition has been out for 20 years over multiple installments backed by one of the biggest titans in the gaming industry.

That's not to say Riot isn't a gaming industry giant, but Riot has surprised me with how well it's handled the game. Constantly listening to feedback, making changes, welcoming banned/exiled players in CS with open arms, implementing a competent anti-cheat, like the list goes on and on.

Valve's method of handling CS:GO is so fucking horrendously outdated. They are notoriously vague and silent and it's beginning to dawn on me that Valve never had a good excuse and are just beyond fucking lazy. The game hasn't had a major update in years when it needs it most, the anti-cheat is still dogshit, the matchmaking is dogshit, and I mean hell- they don't even give you comprehensive match stats without a monthly fee.

A simple comparison between the two companies can be seen with how it demonstrates your MM rank. In CS:GO, you can win 7 matches in a row, lose 2, and the second loss will be your de-rank. Who knows what arcane technology lies behind the ranking system? In Valorant, while the Elo points you win or lose might seem slightly random in the amounts, at least it tells you and communicates.

The gun play and hit-reg also feels so much better in Valorant. It's hard to describe, but holy fuck when I started playing it was like becoming enlightened. Bullets actually go where you're aiming. CS has so many horse shit random factors when it comes to aiming and ping and whatever else that makes this game feel like a breath of fresh air.

The abilities are pretty balanced, fun to use, have lots of room for experimentation and strategy, and create a more interesting game to watch and to play.

This isn't an overreaction. Valve should be trembling. Pro players are leaving left and right (Pro NA CS is dead by definition), queue times are climbing rapidly, and the casual player base has already decided that CS:GO is a "dying game" and are leaving in droves (Valorant has more active daily players than CS:GO and has for 4 months).

I was extremely dismissive when the game first came out, but after putting in some time I can confidently say Valorant is a game lightyears better than CS:GO and it will be the reason the game takes a nose dive in popularity.

If you were like me and initially dismissed the game as a cash grab Overwatch/CS clone, you're sorely mistaken and need to put some time into the game to realize that you're being ignorant.

I think both games are fun, but Valorant might be better just because of the mechanics, but I cringe when people go oh look, it’s Destiny CS:GO Overwatch and a bunch of other games mushed in to one and therefore I don’t want to play it. From what I’ve seen most of my friends are going to Valorant, it’s only a matter of time before CS:GO is fully dead.
