dolo Posted July 20, 2021 Content Count: 562 Joined: 04/05/20 Status: Offline Share Posted July 20, 2021 Simple reasons for why the M4A1-S is better. Suppressor, cant track through smokes, lower price, easier recoil pattern (in my opinion). M4A4 is for people that stick to a consistent gun and don't want to switch. Most AWPers do/should use the M4A1-S because its overall easier and can get them bigger impact in the round where they don't have a AWP. As well as it's lower price helps with AWPers eco (<--economy) and if everyone switched to the M4A1-S it would greatly improve eco and give a better chance on some maps for CT's to stop pushes. But I don't use that shit ass gun so idk. Link to comment

BloodBlades Posted July 20, 2021 Content Count: 909 Joined: 06/01/20 Status: Offline Share Posted July 20, 2021 Ive been using M4A4-S since I started playing so im just use to it. I tried M4A4 multiple times but was just use too the M4A4-S. This is mostly about personal preference and what you value most like higher mag or silencer/lower cost. Link to comment

Reid99 Posted July 20, 2021 Content Count: 2259 Joined: 08/02/16 Status: Offline Share Posted July 20, 2021 My thought process behind both guns when I used to play a lot was this: M4A4 for more close quarter oriented maps like Cache especially, and then I'd frequently use M4A1-S generally on maps where you're more likely to take long range duels like Dust 2. Idk that's just my take on what I'd use but 99.9% of the time these days it'd always be A4 since I'm so used to using only that rifle on CT. 1 Link to comment
the baconator Posted July 20, 2021 Content Count: 400 Joined: 08/07/19 Status: Offline Share Posted July 20, 2021 (edited) Unless you plan on actually playing the game competitively with a team, there is absolutely no reason to use the M4A1-S. It has less bullets and shoots as fast as an AK, I don't really see a point in buying a gun that costs more than the AK if its literally the same thing but doesn't one shot to the head and has less bullets, M4A4 is just the better gun overall. It has more bullets and shoots faster, better to just learn to A4 spray. If you plan on taking the game seriously and playing with a team or something using the M4A1-S is reasonable, it's good to have 1 or 2 people that have it equipped so they can buy an extra flash or gun for your teammate there's some big tier 1 teams that do this. Also if you just play JB or TTT use the M4A4 over the AK or A1-S they don't have armor so its a 1 shot to the head! 2 Edited July 20, 2021 by the baconator Link to comment
Bondairy Posted July 20, 2021 Content Count: 1253 Joined: 12/19/19 Status: Offline Share Posted July 20, 2021 (edited) M4A1-S because you need to be Sneaky Beaky-like. In all seriousness I prefer the M4A4 cause it's better but the M4A1-S is nice to switch things up from time-to-time. 1 Edited July 20, 2021 by Jmc Link to comment
