I recommend Lithium, Construction, Sandman, Ember, and Insignia. Lithium and Construction are both really well made, tough skill maps made by SV l Copy-Mark. An easier, yet just as well made, is Ember, SV l Skars first skill map that turned out to be a huge hit on some of the other servers. Sandman_v2 was made by sandman and and to everybodys surprise was REALLY hard and had great jails/textures. One of the jails is the Showdown level on CoD4. Insignia_b1 IS my favorite map on the list. It was made by Li/\/us and is very unique because the level arrangement get's switched around and some of the levels deal with different aspects such as moving ramps, timing, and memorization. Most maps made by SV are usually really well made and tough. The entire SV clan made a collab. that I think is amazing, named Velocity after Surf Velocity. It features a level made by JesuswasHomeless which, is always going to be tough. It also has levels made by Copymark, Skar, HellRaisedSurfer, and Sangre. I was on last night and everyone wanted to change it back. It seems as though skill maps bring in alot of people, except the people that whine about not being able to do a level. Although skill maps are my favorite, you need to even out the additions. Linear, Arena, Skill, Kill. If you get all of one it turns into a whiny, complaining mess. Anyways, I digress, these skill maps are cool. Link to comment

I wouldn't know if these should also go up on our RPG server, but if they should daZe you can let me know. Link to comment

XeNo Posted November 24, 2008 Content Count: 6466 Joined: 07/22/08 Status: Offline Share Posted November 24, 2008 (edited) We played all of these on the server the other day. Some of our best skill map surfers were on and utterly got pissed off at most of these maps. Only two people could barely make it past level one on construction, and when I teleported everyone to the last level, they did not want to ever play the map again as a lot of those tricks are annoying. There's a difference between skill maps, and maps made for pros only. Skill maps are suppose to be fun, and possible to be done, but hard enough that you don't do it on the first try every time, and keeps letting you barely get to the end. Not have you fuck up and unable to make it to the second ramp of the map. Sandmanv2 was fun, the better surfers could make it to three, and we were getting the hang of it slowly. However, level 5 was extremely hard, but not as hard as construction. insignia v1 was interesting, the jail is certainly something new. A few of us could make it to level 3, which was weirdly designed and will take some time to get used to and know how to beat. Ember was slightly easier, level 4 is incredibly hard to get to that last ramp, and level 2 can kill you if you mess up at the end, leaving lots of people dead and spectating everyone else. Which could cause people to leave. Velocity, this map is...tricky...The first level isn't so hard, yet some players could not get the hang of it. The second level is HARD, as you need lots of speed, yet it has such small holes to get through and causes you to slow down on some ramps a lot. And the third I didn't experience. Lithium, we had a person join the server while we were on that map that showed us a few tricks at beating the map, however even he could not get past level 4/5 as like a few of the other maps, they were just naturally bumfuck hard as shit, make you want to quit, wrist breaking annoying to do. Edit: Out of all of them I'd say keep sandman, insignia, ember, and maybe Lithium. Velocity was made terribly, there is often ramp glitches, and level 2 is already made for pros only, so the rest of us were just stuck on level 2. Construction, no one beat level 1 except one person. And he couldn't make it past the third ramp of level 2. Edited November 24, 2008 by XeNo Link to comment

I'd say keep them, they love skill maps on surf and lets face it, the maps wern't meant to be easy, that's why you need to practise to get better. no one complained when I put these maps up yesterday.
