  1. Forgot to readd the sup colors when rewriting it, give me an hour or so. EDIT: Fixed.
  2. For example, for my tag, what I wrote was "sm_settag {red}C{orange}o{yellow}l{green}o{blue}r{purple}s{gray}! ". They basically work about the same way as bbcodes on the forums. EDIT: Forums are separating the g from the ray for some odd reason.
  3. Title says it all! Now you're able to do your own colorful tags using sm_settag! You can use the following tags to make your chat tag: Yes, some are not exactly the color they say they are, but i had to get creative Or type sm_colortags ingame! You can also now type sm_settag with no arguments to see how to use correctly the command, along with your current tag! Couple of things to be mindful of: On updating the plugin, your chat color most likely changed, as I changed the order and added orange to the list. Tags are now limited to 20 characters and colors count as 1 character regardless of the name of the tag. Let me know if you find any problems or bugs with it. Enjoy it!
  4. I'm the oddball here and I use Opera, I ran through pretty much all browsers and Opera along the years has been the most reliable for me. On a sidenote to all others that really like Firefox but complain that it is extremely slow nowadays, you can try Waterfox, which is a fork of Firefox, but optimized for speed.
  5. Steam has finally made a extended statement about this christmas cache issue: http://store.steampowered.com/news/19852/
  6. http://www.steam-gamers.net/forum/showthread.php?t=57014
  7. I believe it is correct, it will not save it. On other news, according to SteamDB, seems that the storm has passed, if you're still getting errors veryifing login information, restart your steam client. If you're interested on what might've been the reason for all this issues, xPaw made a pretty good post explaining here. While caching is safe, refrain from making any money transactions for now, until valve releases an actual statement.
  8. So this is not exactly confirmed, but the sources are decent enough. Accounts that were not logged on during the cache malfunction should be safe in terms of leaked information. To other accounts, if you have any saved billing information (paypal, credit card, billing address, among others), that data might be compromised. Assume as well that your full email name is compromised. Going back to phone numbers, since theres only 4 digits available, the possibilities of combinations go beyond 6k, so while you might still wanna change it, you should be fine on that front. To anyone using paypal, make sure you go to Paypal.com and go to Settings and Preapproved payments under the Payment options heading and unlink your connection to steam. To say this again, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHANGE ANY SENSIBLE INFORMATION ON STEAM RIGHT NOW, DO NOT EVEN TRY TO USE THE WEBSITE RIGHT NOW.
  9. UPDATE: DO NOT CHANGE ANY SORT OF BILLING/PASSWORD INFORMATION, THIS MIGHT CAUSE UNWANTED EFFECTS, ONLY CHANGE WHEN THE ISSUE IS RESOLVED.
  10. As of this moment, there are serious caching issues, refrain from using any sort of payment actions in the store and get your eyes on your bank movements. Info that might've been compromised include billing information, last 4 digits of your phone number, email, purchase history, current balance, etc. Will be updating on the situation as soon as I know more about it.
  11. SG app

You most likely got a popup when you opened our website on your phone to use tapatalk, and thats what I really recommend to use, as it provides all the basic tools that we need to read/respond in the forums (yes, chatbox is not a thing thats needed).
  12. By ranking I meant a points system, not just map times.
  13. True, still I dont think mixing the two will do any better to be honest. It feels like the course server just needs a ranking system to get people addicted.
  14. I would rather not to, since we're talking about two very different movement based gamemodes, kreedz or kz is mostly based on longjumps, crouchjumps and generic strafing, while courses tend to not have that many hard jumps, but adding different kinds of challenges, such as moving platforms, lasers, dropdowns, etc, which add a bit of a randomness effect to it that kz players hate. That being said, what I suspect that it would happen is that as soon as the map type would switch, the server goes empty with the exception of the guy that nominated it.
  15. No fuss is being made, it's just multiple people making the same point. To me, it feels like the fact that they're not positive is what's making you say that it's a fuss. Im going to repeat what I said before: No one here, much less me, cares of what you do with your money. From all I care, you can also be buying skins, BigMacs and inflatable sex dolls, it has no impact whatsoever in my life. Since theres two people paying the server in even parts, I would probably think that conflicting points about what to do with it is most likely a priority, in order to avoid disagreements, especially since one of the reasons this thread created in the first place was to poll to see if someone else wanted to throw a buck in, and no ones gonna do that if those things aren't defined properly. Again, it's down to you guys, people just gave their opinions about the idea, take it for what they're worth. Good luck with the event.
  16. All I have to say to your idea is this: https://www.gametracker.com/search/left4dead2/?query=Valve#search With nothing but a quick search on gametracker, you can find up to 2500+ vanilla servers from valve itself. 2500+. I sincerely see absolutely no point on buying/creating a server for the sole purpose of a drunk left4dead2 night section here and there on a month (unless you're planning on making your liver minced meat). "But we're ready to pay the money, thats not an issue" We're not stopping you from opening your wallet, we're just showing you how immensely redundant it is to spend that kind of money. Understand that there's much more to choose from if you just look around, especially if ou are planning on investing in it for 6 months, rather than a 1-3 month trial of the sort. "It might open a new avenue for sg to have population from!"/"It's for our own use, private" As you can see, first one comes from Goku, and the second one from Metal, and the fact that they're contradictory only tells me you're buying a server to do something that you're not even really sure of what it is in the first place. But putting that aside, to answer Goku's point (above explains Metal's pretty much), iirc, when left4dead2 was more popular, SG gave it a try and well...it didn't work out. L4D2 was, and always will be, "join a few friends in a lobby and play the campaign" kinda game, this makes community servers a very small attraction. The population has dropped quite a bit due to the influx of zombie survival games we have nowadays (as shown by darnias above), so there's not much of a point in trying it now.
  17. Rawr hits the nail. Votekick can always be swayed by a group and making a unanimous vote will not work if theres said group, as those wont votekick him. If you happen to have a rulebreaker on the server and no admins are on site, you can either try to contact a admin to join and take care of the issue, request one on chatbox or gather evidence and submit a player complain.
  18. I'm on board, but if I make it, I will be doing it differently than what I've done before and try to go back to the css scrims style as much as possible, rather than a automated system. That said, there seems to be a really big overflow of incoming servers (surf/ttt revamp/zriot), so to be really honest, it might have to wait for a while.
  19. I feel like it would get really fucking confusing.
  20. Even if it doesnt reach 100, I might just do the server if the bds find the corner on the machine. Just not sure if I will make the timer tho, I gave a second try to cksurf and im somewhat rethinking it.
  21. I'm gonna regret doing this. Also if I end up doing the timer, no time for ze.
  22. No. Vote is final.
  23. having all 3 maps on this post might've made the vote somewhat innacurate, im moving the voting to remove surf_facility to a new post, please vote again HERE Will leave this post open for a day or two so people see the redirect to the new one and then moving it into rejected.
