i think this is 99% bitching about a bad headset/speaker setup for reasons to switch Voice is perfectly fine on vent without downsides, when I play music on psyche's channel nobody complains about quality No major reason to switch any way. EDIT: reasons to switch are entirely opinionated, reasons not to switch are based on the work it would take to set everyone up and get the system running

The only way around the whole legality issue without getting licenses right away, is to only play songs that we are allowed to get for free (With permission of the artist, of course), namely those songs under the Creative Commons license. That is, until we raise enough money to get licenses to the larger songs. I'm sure we can find a bunch of songs of varying genre that fall under that criteria. All it would require is searching.

Main problem being handling money, and dealing with shit like that. Sure, Spartan can handle the donations, but what about getting rights to songs? And what about getting DJ's? There are only a few on SG with the time or skill to actually DJ, let alone ~7-10

The problem is: if we make it a plugin that you have to type, people won't know about it (since apparently paul doesn't like commands that take up text space) and it won't be any different from joining spec and then back to your team if we make it an auto-plugin, some people will get upset that they aren't rewarded for kills/playing well if we don't include it, people will get upset that they run out of money happy? next time pls don't bitch at me and instead bitch at others who make even more useless posts than i do

we had a radio plugin on our server before (wasn't run by us because SG is full of people who have no idea how to run a radio station ofc) and it advertised us occasionally because they were awesome. they were called epic radio. RIP epic but seriously, this wouldn't work at all, because SG has no fucking clue how to run a radio station. the only person in SG with any form of radio experience is Crazy Swede.
