  1. Congratulations all around!!!! :-D
  2. Its should have been done automatically. Looks like its done.

  3. Actually you can modify the equasion for other galaxies, its just harder to gauge the different things involved since we cannot differentiate the individual stars in other galaxies. But in therory, you can, its just primarly based in galaxies.
  4. Its binary And WE HAVE A WINNAR!
  5. The key thing here is these are estimations. Obviously its nearly impossible to count all the galaxys, stars, or planets and determine if they are in the habitable zones. But these are mainly estimations that gives people hope to finding intelligent life. Europa has probably the most realistic source for life elsewhere in our solar system. Granted the surface is near absolute zero temperatures, but due to possible vulcanic activity in the core and Jupiters massivly strong magnetosphere causing crazy radiaton its possible about 100 miles under the surface there is liquid water. It hasn't been proved obviously no probe has drilled but its most likely to have it. The life forms on Europa are most likely non-inteligent but they would be considered life. My suggestion to anyone interested in stuff like this should catch "The Universe" on the History Channel...they have a whole episode dedicated to this.
  6. Maybe you need to take some more mushrooms to see what it is :-P
  7. They both are the same message, the only difference is the rows and columns. The 2nd one if you see it almost gives it away. I think astrum might be able to figure it out, he's smart in that way. :-D
  8. Tell me what this means: And can look like this as well: Good luck!
  9. Theres actually a mathmatical equasion to answer your question: N is the number of civilizations in our galaxy with which communication might be possible; and R* is the average rate of star formation in our galaxy fp is the fraction of those stars that have planets ne is the average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planets fℓ is the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop life at some point fi is the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop intelligent life fc is the fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space L is the length of time such civilizations release detectable signals into space. This is known as the Drake Equation Plug the numbers in and you'll know how much life is in the universe. :-P The general accepted answer amung people who believe this could be a good estimate is: N = 7 × 0.5 × 2 × 0.33 × 0.01 × 0.01 × 10000 = 2.31 So estimated value, theres 1 other inteligent civilization outside of us somewhere in the universe.
  10. I beleive we can set the start map, but I dunno if that has caused issues in the past or not.

  13. For whatever reason of you entering that command in console, which I suggest you never try to do again. To fix, type exec config.cfg in console.
  14. Or restart your router.

  18. Everything I see you should be able to upload. If its over a certain file size it won't work cause we have limits.

  23. I've been around...just not long on forum since till recently i was useless. Still waiting for my new pc...which hopefully will be done next week.

  24. If you have to have your volume maxed for people to hear you then you need to speak up lol. Seriously. You shouldn't have your volume maxed. That will cause distortion and like you said you'll hear the background noises (fans or tvs). Your mic volume should be in the middle...if you need volume for people to hear you...do it through vent and if people can't hear you if you max it they'll just have to boost you on their end.
