The day's been good. Yum for Easter feast. Although, yesterday was a whole lost better. Oh, and Sneaky, I have (Had) that problem with a (now) 10-year old second-cousion name Ian. Constantly digs into my leg and won't let me me go. Metaphorically, of course.

I am proud, but still disappointed, to say that I am the: Adminsitrative Non-Comissioned Officer in Command. (ADM NCOIC) Two benefits for this job that I like a lot: I design in- and out-processing. This means I come up with how the basic come to and leave Encampment. Yay for stressful environment! Between paperwork, I can go around during downtime and screw around with any basics I see, within reason obviously The two 'bummers' for this job that I'm not so happy about: Paperwork galore! This is not even a job I applied for. I applied to be one of three First Sergeants, but didn't get it because of... politics. I'll leave it at that (I had the second top score for evaluations and they denied me because of a biased feeling from one person on the selection board... it sucks). But besides that, I've been selected and wasn't part of the staff "rejects." I'll be gone for 10-20 June, but since I have to be there before and after, more like the 8/9-21/22 of June.

Noon today, I'll be leaving for Colorado Springs. I'm going there to apply for staff at an encampment, something similar to an American military boot camp but ~1-1.5 week long. Since the encampment is in Colorado, the "wing" there will be in charge (COWG) which also means I'm going out-of-state. COWG's yearly encampment is held at the USAFA Prep. School and for only $260 per person which is one hell of a deal considering most of that is for food and transportation, not housing fees. The selections are tough because there are people all over the nation coming (people apparently like the USAFA a lot) so I'll be competeing for one of the 40 slots when there's 60+ coming. Wish me luck. If I succeed, I'll get to "let lose of all my anger on poor, unsuspecting cadets" P.S. Appropriately, of course. I can't get too pushy ;]
