I used to watch my diet quite closely. I've unfortunately and admittedly slacked a bit (having slightly more cake or cookie or whatever slightly more often), but it hasn't added anything to my waistline save a small, almost unnoticeable bit of love-handle fat because of one simple thing: Cross Country. For what it's worth, you don't have to be ripped, have bustling biceps or have a six-pack to look good or attractive. If you simply want to lose the extra fat and not look like some version of the Hulk, go out and run hard for 3-4 days per week and run softly for the other 3 or 4 days of the week. You'll shed the pounds quickly. Do know, however, that you have to learn your pace in order to run long-distance properly. So, if you have never or never did run Track/Cross Country in high school, I recommend you ask someone for specific aid; it's too much for me to explain at the moment. Nonetheless, I do understand that everyone's different, but this is what has worked for me. I was a chubby middle-schooler and I literally lost 20lbs over the summer between 8th grade and 9th grade simply by joining the Cross Country team and practicing with them pre-season in the summer.

Congrats to all! It really is amazing to see so much change happen so quickly in such a short amount of time. But whatever happens happens. Do us all good with those promotions ;)

My current schedule prevents me from doing anything beyond stalking the forums, browsing my social networks once every other day (if not slightly more or less frequent), and checking my email in the morning and in the evening. An MA needs only to stay in communication with Garfield, update all social networks connected to the community (thus coordinating with ECs), and maintain any other external connections, correct? If so, would it be possible for me to do all of that considering my schedule? Just curious to know of how big the workload is. If it means anything, I have a fair bit of experience in public affairs handling. Anyways, I'll apply. Hopefully my strikes aren't the only consideration against me

For new people: what languages do you know? For people who've already posted in this thread: have you learned more in languages? Meaning, do you speak one more fluently or have you begun the process of learning another? --- I personally have improved all three foreign languages, but haven't begun a fourth. Since my school will start offering Mandarin next year, I may start learning that soon. Of course, the real challenge is not just learning Mandarin, but trying not to forget my Swedish; even though my pronunciation is still iffy, I sound less American when speaking Swedish than before

Yes, I do. Been qualified for a long time. Most recent re-qual was in May this year, which was, needless to say, very interesting from the previous re-qual: before, it was 15 compressions per 2 breaths and oxygen flow was the most important, whereas now it's 30 compressions per 2 breaths and the compressions are the most important. Oh medical discoveries.
