For now, I set the sv_airaccelerate back to 3500 so we can start getting stuff back to normal and it should be good on a map change. The list I'll get around to it on the weekend. Thanks for making the list though

Was trying to do this when I was testing the map, and for the life of me I could not edit the bonus zones to be how I wanted them. They always seemed to be afucked up mess which I'll try to get to soon on the test so it can be carried over to the live. Now to the velocity issue. The discussion that happened for this change to be rolled out was primarily held in teamspeak talks and discord chats in the Surf channels with Gator and a few others that regular the server. I know Gator would've tried and contacting you but he's been pretty busy and just got his internet back up and running so I assume it crossed his mind. I'll be honest, I haven't seen you on surf since I took up the server and I had no idea you still tried to play on the server so it never crossed my mind to contact you me thinking you just got sick of it or whatever reason you might have. Believe me, I wouldn't want to copy other servers to the point where it's like I'm copying it to a T. It would give me the idea that we have nothing unique to offer and we'd probably continue to struggle in population. The change for the air accelerate and for max velocity were rolled out with the idea that we're trying to accustom our values to what "Easy Surf" is, and a lot of our players usually complain about the settings we have seeing as they were set to some values that aren't classified as Easy Surf rather Hard. Would I be against changing it back to 3500? Of course not. I do understand the competetive nature that Surf has, seeing as I came from Bhop and would probably feel the same way if settings were changed drastically and times could get fucked with. I supported the change to 5000 so we could accomodate for some of the maps that you mentioned. A reasonable fix for this which I think you and I can can both probably agree on, is if you can get me a list of maps that would be fine with sv_maxvelocity 5000 rather than 3500, I can set up map specific configs (they exist somewhere I was looking at them a short while ago and gotta figure out how to set them up) and I can make the standard maxvelocity back to 3500. @Poobah

As much as I loved CS:S JB back in 2013, there’s pretty much no point to play it other than the fact it’s on a different game unless there’s an incentive or extra thing attached towards playing. I remember Caution hosted a CS:S Star Wars event before I was around and a lot of people loved it. If I had to choose a CS:S server to bring back for an MGT I’d definitely choose Scrim, MG, or Trikz. Those being listed in descending order of how much I’d want them.
