obviously its gonna be the same socket, he aint that dumb. as for the ram, no point getting ddr3 with that cpu, he wont see any of the performance increase you think he might get+ the price difference for a compatible motherboard, cpu and ram. just isnt in his price range.

looks ok without any of the manufactuers listed for the components. with one exception. DDR2 doesnt like to have mis-matched ram. if you want 3 gig of ram, get 2x1GB and 2x512MB ram. as the slots are paired up so to speak. and dont pay any attention to Nasu. your processor is fine, ive got the Q6600 and my computer still runs like a beast

yeah, the most recent one, all my other games are uneffect as far i know about it.

ive updated my video card driver yesterday, and now my css wont launch correctly. it says loading with the blurry background, but then nothing else. first i restarted steam - nothing restarted comp - nothing deleted clientregistery.blog file - nothing deleted user in the cgf folder - nothing deleted settings in the cgf folder - nothing then i put in -dxlevel 95 in the advanced launch options then it loaded, but with the default settings, non of my controls were saved, so i changed them, saved them. next time i started css without -dxlevel 95 in the launch options and it was the original problem over again. so put back in -dxlevel 95 and worked but like i said before it loaded with default settings. any suggestions????

yes he probably did get it, but just be patient. it might get added to March's donations. some people have got other things to do. but he will get to it
