  1. That's like saying a GTX is an overclocked version of a GTS... no, it's a different card. About 20% difference in performance over the GT. Also mew, why would I do 2 storage HDD's in RAID if my primary drive is gonna be the raptor? For ex: RAID helps you load in games quicker, so if I have 2 HDDs in raid that are for storage and the raptor that's my main, I wouldn't get any of the loading/performance benefits would I? My knowledge of RAID is still limited so please clarify it for me if you don't mind.
  2. It's the new G92 GTS foo... it > the GT

I'll take other suggestions but I'm sticking with nvidia on this one. A Quad is more "future-proof" than a dual, however, the E6750 clocks better than the Q6600 and is almost $100 cheaper. Comments on this? Should I go for this or an Ultimate? Or a 64 bit? Or XP??? So many choices...argh That about does it. So far the total comes to about $1815. Again, my budget is about $2,000 max. 4. Ahhh my bad. Here you go: https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.asp?ID=6712951 Should work now... I've checked the "make it public" option.
  5. Hey guys, My comp's GPU has recently died on me after a good 3 years of service. I wanted to get a new comp anyway for a long time now, but at least now I have a good excuse, eh? Anyway, after some BRUTAL research and comparisons, here's a rough list of specs I came up with for my new comp: https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.asp?ID=6712951 Items subject to change include RAM, PSU, GPU (thinking either that one or 8800gtx, or just an 8800gt for now and using eVga's step-up program to a 9800 when it comes out... definitely sticking with nVidia though) OS (vista 32 or 64? Home or Ultimate? Or even XP?), MAYBE CPU (new CPUs from Intel coming out this month... the question is... can I wait several weeks longer in this already prolonged process for a marginal performance boost?) I'll take any comments and suggestions... especially what I should get for my 2nd HDD and whether or not to put them in RAID. My budget is somewhere around $2000. Thanksssssss
  6. Lock picking set? What are you a boy scout?
  7. That's only a generalisation.
  8. Yeah, a supra for $3000. Good lord... And gas hasn't reached $4 a gallon (yet)
  9. Prob CoD4
  10. Unless you enjoy spending a fortune on gas I suggest you get an import, such as a Toyota Corolla or Camry or something.
  11. Nothing. It's just that they come a dime a dozen.
  12. And I can criticize that opinion just as much. Welcome to the internets. Don't like it? GTFO.
  13. then why the fuck u even post?..
  14. Look @ the bottom, nub. "This site and story is invented/fiction - pics are NOT hosted by us, just linked!" Its just random pictures of a random teen posing naked. Big whoop.
  15. No and yes. No: because Tourette's guy is fake. Yes: Because he is dead. Either way you're going to hell.
  16. proof pls
  17. Yeah, new technology is amazing. I saw a show on Future Weapons on a thing called "dragonskin," a new body armor that stops shrapnel, bullets, etc while being relatively lightweight. Here's the vid: KS0pSwdQfbY Also seen a vid on artificial limbs which let you lift heavy objects with ease and ultimately transform you into a cyborg... very interesting stuff indeed. Sadly, I can't find the vid on that.
  18. Take my advice and get an ASUS G1S Gaming Laptop. Honestly, this laptop is by faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar the best bang for the buck you can get. It compares to the high-end Alienware laptops which cost $4000+, while you can pick this one up for only $1500! You can read the review here It'll take whatever you throw at it, laugh in your face and take a dump all at the same time while going at 50+ FPS. Except for the obvious: (Crysis....duh)
  19. lol james that's exactly what I wrote in this thread a page or two behind.
  20. I've seen the vid of the vampire squid before on "Planet Earth," an amazing series about the various species of animals/plants/etc of the world. These kind of things have always fascinated me. Good find pancakes.
  21. ahahahahaaha

  23. You guys hate spiders??? I think they're the coolest ever. Sometimes I get spiders in my bathtub and I help them out so I don't drown 'em when I take a shower. I'm sure they appreciate it. As far as fearing something goes... I'm not quite sure. Perhaps the unknown or failure, not material things.
