Now we're getting somewhere. Don't know if you've done this, but I'll act like you haven't. - Click Here and click agree to download the driver. - Go to: Control Pannel>Harware and Sound>Device Manager>Sound, video and game contollers ; Right click on Creative SB Audigy 2 and hit uninstall When you're done with the process reset the PC and don't let it self install the hardware when it reboots. Just skip it and load the PC normally. - Go back to the Driver you downloaded and execute (double-click) the file. When your done with that reset the PC again. - Make sure you have your headphones/speakers directly connected to the sound card and not the motherboard or the jacks on the case. (Everything should be ok by now, but if not let's play with the settings.) - Go to: Control Pannel>Harware and Sound>Sound * On playback, make sure Creative SB Audigy 2 is selected * Same thing for recording You can also trying changing the configuration. If this doesn't work, we'll try using the onboard audio.

What soundcard are you using? Or in the case of onboard audio, what chipset? Go to: Control Pannel>Harware and Sound>Device Manager>Sound, video and game contollers Is the problem isolated to just the game?

I purchased it during a crazy sale back in April for $400. 8800GTS cards go for that price and even less these days, but back then they sold for a minimum of $450 and on top of that it comes overclocked from the factory to 8800GTX standards.

I'm running on Vista Ultimate X64 and using this graphics card FV-N88SMBD2-ONOC. As long as you have hardware that can support it, Vista is trouble free and has a lot of extra goodies.

It's supposed to be treated the same, but employers see as if you took the lazy way out. A "High School Diploma" means you actually put in the time for 4 years (or however long it took you) and gained experience amongst others.

I agree with Jager on this one. Never EVER! buy a micro ATX motherboard unless you're building a small portable LAN box. Also, never buy a power supply just because of price. Buy something of quality because if the power supply goes it can take out other parts with it. Added: You might also want to invest a few more dollars ($4-10) on a SATA DVD burner instead of IDE. I think the ECS mobo only comes with 1 SATA cable so you'll need to order an extra cable (one for the Hard Drive and one for the DVD drive). And if you're planning to go SLI you'll have to buy a motherboard using a NVIDIA chipset capable of SLI. Intel and ATI chipsets are only capable of crossfire.

Yup, I know a few of those. I personally wouldn't give up on the High School experience. At times I felt like shoving my foot up it's ass, but I also got a lot of good out of it and the good was far greater than the bad. The decision is up to you and your family. Good luck with whatever you decide, you can't go wrong with whatever is best for you.

Go to steampowered.com or anywhere they sell CS:S and buy it. You should get a new account with it and you'll legally have your own copy & Steam ID.

You have to actually own the game or at least have a Steam ID with a purchased copy of the game on it, like the one your friend let you borrow.
