so far I love this thing, no virtual 7.1 but I can barely tell the difference. I had that exact fatality headset and the quality was about the same, although I will say that if you wear the headset for 2 hours or more, your ears will start to hurt, and after 3-4 hours it will hurt to the point you will have stop playing (not necessarily a bad thing), that is my only bad thing about it. For the price though it is very good, but if you are willing to shell out a few extra monies, the steel series is just as good without the ear rape, and if you are a faggot like me, you'll pick one of the different colors for some reason though if you pick white you'll save like 10-15 dollars then picking another color, also for some reason the blackand gold one is one hundred dollars, don't get that one.

I should mention that I already have a Logitech G35 headset which has been giving me problems since day of purchase. Like having to disable then renable audio and microphone randomly just to hear or speak, falls off when I tip my head forward slightly, doesnt work with sven coop, and the fucking cord which must be related to satan gets tangled in a shitstorm every other day. Thank you all for your suggestions, although I should have clarified the price range a little more. I obviously cannot afford a $300-$200 headset, with $120 being max price. I have been looking at steel series a lot, my friend has one and says hes had it for almost two years with no problems but if there are any other suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
