As of right now, this is not possible with our current plugin. We think this is a good idea, but right now this is not something we're able to add. If we find a better plugin in the future, this is definitely a feature we would like to have included. Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately this isn't something we can do right now.

While this idea certainly has merit, there is a limit to the pool of cosmetics we have access to. I'm pretty sure the only easily interchangeable cosmetic is models because there's a pretty large pool of models to choose from. Stuff like trails, tracers, etc. have been around for forever and have been the same since I joined SG. I can understand the want for new cosmetics as after playing for years with the same ones they can get stale. Unfortunately, most efforts in cosmetics go toward models and sometimes hats because that's the cosmetics that many servers stick to. I wanted to give an "official response" for at least the servers I manage because this has been sitting around for a while. For at least BHOP and Surf, you can expect some model changes in the near-ish future but I've actually been planning on removing some cosmetics from those servers such as cosmetics that don't ever get used such as nade trails, paintball, and some of the more distracting trails to improve download times and player experience. Thanks for the suggestion, if any other SMs want to comment on behalf of your servers, feel free.

Wanna throw a little bump here. This is probably going to move to a more lengthy staff discussion soon(tm) and I invite anyone to put more feedback here that hasn't already.

I will speak on this but wait for a JB manager for the "official" answer. Initially in the admin complaint from a week-ish ago, I stated that it was a punishable exploit because one of the JB managers had said it was at the time. This then sparked a staff discussion and we ended up decided that it isn't an exploit, but is cheating the LR. So you can't be slayed, but you can be killed if you're caught. At least in theory.
