I had a family friend bring a laptop to me not last week which was infected with Malware (they had limewire, etc installed). Basically the program stopped me from doing basically anything (it came up with the excuse that it wouldn't open because it was a virus, stuff like control panel and task manager). It was so badly infected that I just had to wipe it clean with a fresh install which didn't take long. Every virus is essentially a program, an executable file. It should be installed under Programs in control panel. If you can still do stuff on your pc (I presume you can as have been able to write this message) then download malwarebytes (use the free version) D
