I feel like it was kinda just sprung up without much warning so nobody really had time to think of stuff to ask or to contribute to the meeting. Just speaking from how i felt during it, because I didnt know about it until yesterday night and didnt really think about too much as my mind wasnt searching for ideas for a while.

Glad to see that JB is hosting its own event again. Ill try my best to make it there as im sure itll be very fun. The servers been kinda dead the past couple months and we need to find energetic enough playwrs to revive it back to its former glory

I agree with All T’s saying that we should just keep both of them. Instead of removing one of the most played maps because theres two versions of it, time could be spent on finding better maps than those. If new maps were introduced and people enjoyed them, then there would be less of an issue in playing electric razor as people would vote for another map. Personally I like the old map better because of the way the gameplay is, but its basically the same map as VIP in the Mix in terms of layout. People tend those three maps the most, and I think that before we decide to remove one of the Razor maps, we should find more maps that people actively enjoy playing.

Wow. Sad to see another person leave the awesome admins we have, but hopefully you'll still stick around and play and chat from time to time. I hope you find what youre looking for and hopefully come back to us in the future. Thanks for all your helpfulness in the community!!!

Currently the nominations plugin is based upon ordering all of the surf maps alphabetically. I feel like it would be nicer to create a tier-based nomination system like ZE is currently running. This system would have all the different tiers pop up to choose from when you type /nominate. I feel like this would make it a lot simpler and more accessible for newer players to the server, as they can simply nominate tier 1 maps and wont have to look at every single map to weed out the tier 1 maps from the tier 3 or tier 5 maps mixed among them.

February 13, 2018: What in your life makes you feel better about yourself as a person?

So I changed my forum avatar about a few days ago, maybe a week by now. Whenever i see my posts on the recent posts on the right side of the forums, i see my old avatar appearing instead of my new one. Is this a bug, or did i just do something wrong, or does it need more time to update?

Just thought of something. Seeing as how the MG course event had the winner pick the map for the next month, would we want ro have something of the similar sorts where the winner of each tier could pick the next map for their tier, or perhaps we allow the overall top tier winner to pick one of the maps for the next event. This is just my thoughts running here while im bored, but here are my thoughts on rewards. Low Tier: 1: Wins 1500 store credits and third place movement award 2: Wins 500 store credits 3: Wins 250 store credits Middle Tier: 1: Wins 2500 store credits and second place movement award 2: Wins 800 store credits 3: Wins 400 store credits Top Tier: 1: Wins 5000 store credits and first place movement award and gets to pick one map for the next event 2: Wins 1500 store credits 3: Wins 500 store credits

Death is certain, yet life is dead; So true love will prevail instead. Not sure whether or not that has five terms, but thats what I came up with since I was bored.

How about we do it where the top three for each tier win a reward. The lower tier gets worse rewards of course. And if we want to give out the movement awards on the forums then i suggest we could use the top winners of each tier map. Does that sound like a good plan or is there anything else you would suggest?

Maybe if we made like three different tiered maps available for the event. Then if you finished on the top time for any of those three, you would win the event. 1st place - Hardest Tier 2nd Place - Middle Tier 3rd Place - Easiest Tier This would lower the skill gap problem, and would create a system in where if people wanted to win then they would have to get the top time on the hardest map for the event, however if they arent that good, they could focus on trying to get 3rd place which would eventually improve their surf skills so they can try the harder tiered maps later on.

I like the idea of the third option, however my post was really about just keeping consistency in the awards, which number three would do if it were applied

Wesker was playing around with the model when i was on earlier. I will admit that it was slightly funny to see just one little knuckles running around amomgst the humans, however i can only imagine the horror in my mind when i face a server full of those clucking monsters

Does this mean that the monthly course event is changing to a monthly bhop event?

Maybe its recognizing your old account is linked to your steam account because they both use the same email. Meaning that it sees youe steam email, and say “hey theres a forum account with this email already, just use that one”. Im not sure because I dont know how the system works, but thats my guess on the matter, hopefully this helps

So Im aware that at least the ZE server has a plugin that will effectively remove any website from a persons steam nickname in the server. This is a really useful plugin to have as it eliminated the need for admins to get into a dispute about them changing their name. (If this is not yet implemented on all servers, it should be). Yesterday while in teamspeak with @diryathing he saw someone disconnect from the server with the n word in their name. Dirya then continued to ponder how this guy slipped past them, and i questioned to ask if the plugin removed things such as that from the player names. Thats where my suggestion is, is that the plugin that removes websites from player names should ge altered to blacklist any offensive or bad words or phrases that might appear in a player name in the steam gamers servers. This would help keep the servers really clean by eliminating the showing up of such language in the first place, and would make the admin’s jobs easier as they wouldnt have to deal with as many name changing issues as they do (which im sure isnt very much, but hey every little bit counts) Just a clarification: dirya had joined the server and that guy left like half a minute after he joined, so idk why nobody reported him or anything, i just thought id put some background as to how i got this idea, as well as give a real scenario.

So I was thinking about how MG has their monthly course(i guess its bhop now) event challenge where they pick a map and see who can get the fastest time on it. I was thinking it might be cool if we started to do the same thing with surf. This would incentivize people to actually go onto the surf server and would possibly bring more randoms to play and become part of the community. I enjoy surfing every now and again, but i feel like it would be fun to have a challenge to look at rather than just trying to beat the map, but rather face of against other people for a reward other than having a better time. I think it would be a fun tradition to start and would really help to revive the server a bit more.

Personally, I feel like this event should have been discussed at more length with the community and put up to a poll vote before hand, seeing as it could either bring, or push away a lot of people from playing the server. Literally I will only be there for the 3x store credits and to boost ze to win race to the top, so I think we should put more effort in to the event creation and take some feedback from all of the players rather than the ones that just spam knuckles everytime its mentioned.

I suggest that we switch the event from being knuckles to being pokemon @TheCharizard

I mean the guy also hosted an anime marathon last saturday so what do you expect?

What Greggy says when he realizes that he might actually have to give away 200 dollars because we actually put forth effort. Nah its fine greggy, we'll get down to 100 by the time the giveaway happens and then you'll be saying rank 50 or below XD. Im just messing with ya, I love you man and thanks for giving initiative for people to play the server other than just for fun (even though thats why i do it)
