Almost finished with my newest 2 gun build (fuck shotguns) and about to finish up with my gunsmithing degree.

Bringing back an old favorite to hopefully hear for all the old heads, keeping it simple. What’s the best thing you've got going on in your life at the moment?

There is a lot I am willing to go into, I will create a new thread in the TTT section later tonight or tomorrow whenever I have time.

I have not launched CSGO (other then hopping on to check out the servers) in about a year, so my opinions may be invalid and the community may have changed entirely, but I will state my opinion anyway b/c SG was once my home in a dark time and means a lot to me. Cept made a very good point about retakes and I think the same applies to bhop and surf. There is no point in repeating what he said, but I would like to add that the same is possible with bhop and surf given the time, effort, and money wanted to be spent. I can obviously see why that might not be a possibility currently. On another note I would like to bring up TTT and maybe JB as well, although I don't and didn't play JB so I couldn't tell you if it truly suffers under similar circumstances. I noticed TTT start to go in the direction it is currently when I still played on SG servers. Not to beat around the bush, there is too much shit. As a previous TTT player I hopped on the server and didn't understand anything that was going on. I think one thing that made us stand out from other servers was how simple we were. It was very easy for a new player who has never touched TTT before to hop on and play with the only real rule being RDM (gamemode wise). There was a small shop that had minimal but useful items that once you learned how to type !menu you could understand and use. This allowed us as a community to see a large influx of newer players, in turn they came to the forums and teamspeak b/c of events like raffles and seeing admins always on the server. This allowed SG to always have more active forums then almost every other community. I remember times where we got the teamspeak server to lag b/c of how many people we had in there. There is a lot of bullshit in my paragraph but the point is that these seemingly easy and fun gamemodes that once ran the community tab have become cluttered with rules and items and so much shit to learn that they are not enjoyable for a new player. I have 15 days probably more at this point on that server, and I got on not knowing what rules to follow and how to even play the game. I can go into more detail about what I think is exactly wrong and should/could be changed if warranted. Maybe I'm now just an oldhead saying this but sometimes change and conform to make a specific group happy isn't what is best for the overall community.

So I would like to point out, in my previous days dealing with course, we had a lot of weird shit come up like this. Why yes this is an exploit; if it is a new and plugin related issue your players should be given a little more leeway. This is a fixable "exploit" but it is not as game breaking as you make it out to be. The times will be deleted and the players will be told not to do it, but I would refrain from banning and kicking course inking people for it (of some cases people are idiots), until you have something saying that it isn't allowed. Also, threatening admins to come forward about this... when they may have not seen it as exploiting is a little stupid :/ its a course time...

would recommend premiere, way better and also easier to get chat you want out of it... after effects is a little tricky, but if you can learn premiere then it is an amazing step to take. you can get both for free but i never said that

What are you editing with?

So recently I have came across a couple other smaller communities that use only discord, and this is how I see it. It is versatile, you can have pretty much everything automated, and it is customizable out the ass. One of the downsides of that is that it can look like shit unless you have it done right. But my point is that getting new players involved in the community, forums, and all around knowledgeable of us is really easy with discord. It is great for new players that don't like teamspeak. Now on another note, discord wasn't born for simpleness. Everything that is done from a admin point of view (admin of discord not sg), has to be done right or shit won't function. On top of that is forces this shyness on people, I'm sure that our regs would be fine getting into a call and talking all day, but discord doesn't foster the same forcefulness of making people get in a channel and just talk. Most people just text chat and post memes all day, which you can even see in our current discord. If discord is the equivalent to teamspeak just newer then why is no one in it hanging out right now. Obviously our regs prefer ts, but the SG discord has over 1000 members, most of them not regs, most of them use discord 24/7. I understand wanting to open the community to new people and this "other side of the world", but eliminating why people love SG, this communication and these tight relationships we have within our staff and regs, everyone that actually takes the step and hops in a ts channel is why everyone is vouching for teamspeak. Cool people may not like discord or how it works, they may be comfortable with ts, but if it was really down to that people would just get over it and make the switch. If you really want to improve discord, just start making it the place we do all our shit, run evens in discord, have meetings, do small things like discord raffles, have a ranking system for the top activity players, get a custom bot built with some fun cool commands. There are so many ways that you can expand discord and make it bring new players as a communication platform, no one is arguing against that, but why would you get rid of teamspeak in order to make this move. Your the ones that need to build up the discord, don't try to make the community do it for you.

This, and what is your actual budget, because I could recommend the hands down best in every category, but they would also be $500+. Also if your looking for a Gaming monitor you need to up your hertz. A big part of pc gaming.

Glad I caught this. Eric I know that we have had our differences, but I have taken all my experiences with you as something to learn from. When I was applying for AT you used to give me advise and small things, that in the long run, helped me get where I got. While our interactions have been slim they were not none. I disagree with this statement. The entirety of what you said, happening, is one in a million. When players are defending or attacking the bombsite they are already focused on killing other players/completing the objective. If a player were to do as you said, gather info that a player is flashed (this would be the only reasonable use of said info); a player would need to stray their attention from watching a corner or holding an angle, in order to notice that a player is flashed. Not to mention a flashbang only lasts a short duration, there are many other factors that play into this, (ie. are has/her teammates with the flashed player, how flashed is the player, where are they at, and did the flash expire). Adding on to this, the player that has just been killed could call out the enemy is flashed without the plugin. In other words, the reliability and chance of a player using this mechanic correctly, and or efficiently has been over expressed. I do think that both the plugins, if added, could contribute to the functionality and experience on the server (If the hud's fps issue can be resolved). I have seen both of these plugins used on other servers and they work great. My brain is huge
