Ascension is sacrificing all your gold and levels for hero souls that can be used to buy Ancients. You unlock it by upgrading Amenhotep 150 times. Transcendence is roughly a super-Ascension: in addition to sacrificing your Gold and Hero levels, you also sacrifice Ancients, Hero Souls, Relics, and Gilds. In exchange, you receive Ancient Souls (which is based on the total amount of Hero Souls sacrificed) and Transcendent Power. Transcendence becomes available after defeating the boss of zone 300. After that it gets too op and it gets boring.

They have it on mobile and after a while it gets pretty boring... but other than that its pretty fun.
