  1. These new players aren't rule-breakers or people intentionally breaking rules, they haven't even gotten a chance to go to CT side yet. Increasing the CT-Timer has been rejected here HERE hErE There are plenty of notable and good Guards that just suck on T side, you can be a good Guard without being the best/good rebeller. We're not expecting the new players to instantly be taking !fo and leading the round, they learn from the other guards and copy their actions. Experience does make a Guard better, and sure they can learn stuff while playing T side but dying over and over I agree, and have definitely been switching my opinion on this topic, but Remixed is suggesting 5 points, not 25.

"All Ts Crouch" - Stay Crouched "All Ts Jump" - Jump once unless told to be *actively* jumping. - I know these two sound inconsistent, but the action of Jumping and Crouching are different. I'm explaining it really poorly, but the different actions make the order different. "All Ts Knife the Ground" - Knifing the ground once would be the order, if you want the Prisoners to *actively* be knifing the ground you should say actively. I'd be okay with that, but a lot of people are against adding rule-changes/additions to fit the tick of our regulars making small things into big things. I'd suggest invoking your common sense? 4. The time is counted just fine, it's just that if you join CT side before the database loads in you can, I believe, bypass the CT-Timer. It's not being abused intentionally, simply a matter of the database connecting. Additionally, I don't see any increase in the CT timer being added. From what I know, the timer is at 25-30 minutes, and will probably not be going up. There's a possibility that the point/kill requirement is added, but like Duffy said the requirement could detrimentally and continually shift our gameplay towards more of a deathmatch style then it needs to be: Some of these things, like the "Order Inconsistency", need to be looked at by the managers for an official response, but this is just what I think.
  4. I brought this idea up here, and I think it’s a great idea. It gives them an understanding of how to rebel, and once on CT side they can then be better equipped to combat rebellers. Ultimately, the idea was rejected: The CT-Timer works just fine, what he’s saying is with more experience on T side it’ll make you a better CT. It makes sense, and would force them to understand how prisoners can become rebellious and cause chaos fast. My one issue is that I wouldn’t want something like this to turn away players approaching CT side, because as we know Jailbreak gets into dips of low CT population often.
  5. I actually made a review of this map in this thread, and here are my notes: Like I said in the final notes, the map is chaotic, large, and seemingly unorganized. I really wouldn't recommend this map for our servers, as the CTs would get stomped by the amount of overpowered secrets and how easy they are to access. Infinityward_, who's a judge for the Gamebanana Contest this map was submitted for, would probably agree with me as we shared the same thoughts while looking at the map.

  8. Crazy to think almost two years ago I was in TS with you, you freaking out about applying for admin. Sad to see you go, hop on Jailbreak and smack some Prisoners soon.
  9. If you switch teams, you might also die in the middle of the round. There's a bug that makes you swap teams if you press "1" occasionally, just press "Esc" on your keyboard twice to fix it if that's the issue.
  10. If you don't load in fast enough, you will miss the first round. This can happen for many reasons, bad internet and a bad PC being the main ones.

  12. I really don't think the meta would shift as much as you think. The Prisoners still have the advantage over the Guards, all the healthboost does is allow a Guard to survive longer during a gunfight. It's use shouldn't be at the start of the round, as an AWP would still kill you and those grenades thrown around would get rid of the boost. Use it how you'd like, but restricting it to a certain timeframe wouldn't make much sense. @ShadoTheLunatic it can feel like you're getting fucked with by the healthboost and hitting for 134 or 200+ on a single CT, but your team is still demolishing them. Also, there's that global limit Vanya mentioned, so only a few CTs have that buff; Less or possible none if it was used earlier in the round.

  14. Congratulations to everyone! I was eating breakfast and all of a sudden got a ping from a CA related channel, I was like, "Did someone accidentally give me a role?". Thank you to the LAs, congrats Gentoo, and thank you to everyone who helped me get down this road. The yellow really is off-putting, got to get used to that.
  15. Just to add, there was another discussion about this. At the end of the day what I gathered was that !showrules could be effective, but if someone didn't want to read the rules they would just ignore the pop-up. It's not really worth it, in my opinion, to add a command like this with such little impact.

  20. The voice order would override the chat order, the guard on mic would say, "Order revoked" or simply continue giving their order. There'd be simply no confusion This is already a thing, chat orders are already able to be overridden by voice orders to stop confusion.
  21. I agree with you @kuri. The Last Request is called Shot For Shot, it means the Prisoner and the Guard exchange fire at each other until one is dead and the other is victorious. If a Prisoner asks for the first shot, it means they begin the duel by damaging/attempting to damage the Guard first. It makes no sense for the Guard to be able to give the Prisoner the first shot by taking the first shot. The Guard should shoot the floor/ceiling/anywhere except the Prisoner. No, they don't, as you've just shot them and taken the first shot. Sure, feel free to find loopholes and take advantage of broad/vague LR rules, but this isn't one of those situations.

Your original concept is essentially a buy loadout, which is good in theory, but if someone were to just buy their loadout immediately at the start of the round it would be hard for newer players/people in general to be able to buy those weapons. That’s also why I think buying multiple items at a time wouldn’t work. You’re right in saying a decent amount of players don’t know the Ct Buy Menu exists, but we already have an in-chat announcement. I think as admins and regulars, we should try to make this more well known by telling people to try the command. However, I wouldn’t be opposed to a chat advert at the start of each round.

  24. I think it would be a pretty insignificant rule change, as in it's not required to add another rule. This barely happens, and if it does happen it's most likely either a mistake or them trying to be tactical. In the rare case that they're griefing, you could tell them off or let them know how they're impacting gameplay.
