    Thx for understanding. Unforunatly most people who have supported me on the forum don't play the server often and too many of the players are less then respectable. Even after major support, Just playing one of the maps resulted in regulars raging the map or killing teammates because its too hard. I find myself increasing having less and less time to map due to life stuff.

    Maybe if you guys move on to l4d or l4d2, i can map for you again since thats what i plan to move on to.

    Just checking up on ya. Have you guys checked out the other turok map or luigismansion yet?. I assume your all pretty busy due to the update. send me a line whenever you can.

  5. I set it to fiber cable 2m. Things seem to be working. choke is still there but no lagg or preformance problems at least.
  6. No, im on the economy level cable modem. Not sure which is the right setting for me.
  7. I changed my speed settings to modem 56k. It was on 256 dsl for some reason. Im on a wired connection right now and im getting about 450 in and 60 out as an average. The lag is gone and my choke stays about 5 or 10 for the most part and 18 rarely.
  8. my averge using numbers from the minigame server and the escape server was this. in - 413 out - 65 both numbers are averages The worst case in on zm_boatescape5_remix which had these numbers in - 1486 out - 72
  9. Well im on a wired connectin now, i still get 0 - 30 - 50 choke. I noticed that the choke goes up dramaticly when other players come into view. However the lag spikes seem to have gone so 50 choke doesnt seem to be a concern unless i should be. It doesnt seem to be effecting my game anymore.
  10. I'm on windows XP. I have also been having lots of problems with lots of steam games either crashing and or lagging out all of a sudden. So i check to see if i needed to defrag my C drive. I did. Im not sure if this was part of the problem but im gonna do some more opti-my-zing and then try wired connection.
  11. I am using a wireless connection and on my own personal modem and router. I'm the only one on my network.
  12. No Luck, settings set to rate 300000 fps_max 101 cl_updaterate 100 cl_cmdrate 100 my results were between 10 and 50 choke and lag spikes up to 900 ping.
  13. thanks, ill give it that a try. I did notice that the problems started when i got my new video card (Nvidia 220 GT) and a 450 watt power supply.

    so basicly the giant sun isnt showing up. Ill recompile it sometime tonight. Packrat isn't 100 % accuarate and leaves things out even when it says its added.

  16. Ok ive been having problems with choke now for weeks. lag spikes also acompany it and nothing i have tired seems to work. I recently tired setting my cl_cmdrate to 30 and cl)updaterate to 20 and rate to 30000 and that seemed to work, but then once i left and came back, the problem was back as well. The changing of the settings on either of these 3 command does nothing or make the problem worse. With all the video on low and after about an hour of playing with the settings via console, the best i have been able to get is a constant 30 choke and a lag spike to 840 every 2 mins. at worse the choke is about 300 and the spikes go into the thousands. i play l4d2 with no problems and i have played CSS for about 6 years now. I have a much better pc now then i have ever had.

    it could be done in block, but the map is teleport heavy. I would recommend noblock

  18. I loaded casy config, so its all good now, though i have to reset the textues everytime. thanks for the info guys

  20. I tried playing at the sever again lately and i have been lag spiking alot. On net_graph 3 i have been getting a coke of 160 or so. I got a new video card and it has the most up to date drivers, so im pretty lost as to whats wrong. The card is a Nvidia 220 GT.
