  1. Just joined the surf server for the first time ever and there are no timers on any map? You also cannot see your knife. Might just need a restart but idk.
  2. I just checked and scanning bodies does show up in console. It would still be nice to have a notification for the victim so it makes things a little more clear, especially because you can't check logs until the round ends.
  3. There have been more than a few times where I have killed a person off of DNA as a detective and they call RDM. Although I know that I acted within the rules of the server they think that I have just RDM'd them out of the blue. And who is to say that a Detective does or does not have DNA? To my knowledge there is no way of determining if someone has DNA or not, other than watching/recording them and assuming that they pressed E on a body. To counter this issue I think there should be a notification upon death of the victim of a detective stating if the detective has DNA. The best place would probably be on a new line under the "You were killed by a Detective." death notification stating: "Has DNA: (Yes or No)".
  4. The radar should be buffed to detect people who are standing still. There have been plenty of rounds where traitors have bought radar only to not find the last person because he is standing still hiding somewhere on the map. I understand that it is the innocent's objective to survive by all means necessary but, If a T has bought a tool to detect people and it doesn't work that is a wasted point and it also wastes everyone's time while the T tries to find the innocent(s). Whenever an innocent hides for the whole round it makes the game-play boring for everyone, the T's who are searching for him, The dead people, and the innocent himself. If the radar was buffed to detect people who are standing still it would save so much time and let actual game-play take place instead of playing hide and seek for sometimes 2-3 minutes. TL;DR: Buff radar so we can find people who are standing still to stop wasting time.
  5. 11 months...
  6. It seems I might be a little late to this thread but here's my opinion anyhow. With this new karma system I believe that it devalues the importance of not killing innocents because it used to give you -20 karma which counted towards your total karma. With the current system it gives me a feeling of "Oh, I just killed an innocent. Eh, Whatever it'll reset next map anyways" and there is no negative association with it. Also with the current karma system, like ZZL said doesn't feel like there's any progression to the game mode at all. Back when I used to play TTT a lot I didn't play for the !shop points, I played for the karma leaderboards. Although the main problem back in those days was that the karma leader boards didn't really reset at all, I think I got up to something like 20k karma in 6 months? I think this might have of deterred new players from competing in the karma leaderboards because the players in !ktop had such a head-start on them. If you guys do decide to revert back to the old karma system I think that karma leaderboards should reset each month and provide an incentive to be #1 on !ktop at the end of the month. Maybe a skin that you can only equip by being #1 on ktop at the end of the month or something like that? In any case I think that going back to the old karma system would be beneficial to the server to promote proper play (not killing innocents) and to increase competitiveness on the server via karma leaderboards. -Thanks for reading.
  7. When people enter the server and select a team, it shows that the person who just joined as being alive on the scoreboard(or not id'd). This can affect whether or not a player can deduce who a T is. So in short, make it so if a player joins mid-round mark the scoreboard as them being id'd. It's the small things.
  8. I was thinking about this yesterday when I was playing TTT(The only steam-gamers server I play). The gameplay was fantastic. 3 people were shouting racism. 1 guy had aimbot and walls on a fresh account mass rdm'ing everyone. I want to say that it took around 10-20 minutes to get an admin on to ban them. I get the idea that leaving the servers open could introduce more players. But at least in the TTT server it was almost always near the cap of 32 people in the afternoon before the FTP update. I suggest that you only allow prime members to join until the server population is starting to get low. then just change a 1 to a 0. It doesn't have to be permanent if it doesn't work. Edit: Just looked at the ban list and all 3 of them were fresh accounts. Looking forward for whats to come in the future!
