Hmmm I was just playing escape and I do get the concept of not being able to respawn at any point, however I have seen some servers that do enable !zspawn but only for people who have just joined, im not sure how this is done but it does let you jump into the action ASAP when you join, but it dosn't work for people who have been killed dureing the game. The only real problem is people reconnecting. Anyway just some food for thought

Anyone ever got that message? I just tryed to connect to the escape server and apparently my version of blackmesa escape final differs from the on the server is useing? should i delete the map and redownload or is there any reason for this?
