as infintyward mentioned, clouds got removed due to a bug and everyone hates peanut. staff tries to add new maps such as august and arctic (which are great maps) but people hate them and instantly rtv because they dont like change. its hard to add new maps when all people wanna do is play razor and revamp.

ive never seen anyone reference the 2 showers in pool as “showers” for an order. the showers is the 2 things by the door leading to bathrooms not the room with the stalls or the 2 showers in pool.

on vipinthemix showers is the area right by the door. the room behind that is bathroom. the showers are on the side by either door and its easy to miss. so when walking in the pool direction its the first thing after the doors behind that weird wall thing in the middle of the entrance.

@Steven24 i believe what wreck means is that this doesnt happen frequently enough for it to be a huge problem. 9 times out of 10 these types of cases are resolved by admins in game and don’t require additional rules to prevent it from happening again. most players understand that this “behaviour” is looked down upon so there isnt a huge need to add an extra rule. i understand wreck/admin’s position on this but at the same time wouldnt be completely opposed to a reasonable time limit on freeze orders.

i couldnt find any official rule in the rules and faq section but i believe that these types of situations count as delaying. if Ts are told to freeze for that long and all the cts are chasing one rebeller im pretty sure it counts as delaying as there are no active orders being given. i think there should be a time limit for freeze orders the same as off mic orders. recently jb has been going downhill in terms of rule breakers and i know staff doesnt like adding rules for everything because it is unnecessary most of the time. although the response youll probably get is “its already a rule with ’dont delay’” but as we all know jb is a little slow and needs some guidance every now and then. im not sure if higher ups will agree with a change like this but its worth a shot.

yea even tho that situation isnt allowed on the server. if no ones gonna revoke it than cts are allowed to add restrictions to the freeday. i get your point that if it was in FO then “technically” it doesnt count as an order because only the fo ct can give orders. however theres little to no difference if the ct said it in chat 10-15sec later. yes its still against the rules and all that but this particular situation almost never happens so i dont think its that big of a deal. plus i think he was mainly asking about chat orders restricting a freeday given by mic. in conclusion regarding the original post, 1) you cant give freedays in first order. 2) yes cts are allowed to restrict freedays regardless if its over mic or in chat. 3) mic orders only override chat orders if the chat order is given first/at the same time. 4) if you restrict an area for a freeday, you still have to give the appropriate warning shots unless that area is automatically kos such as armory catwalk. i hope this answered all of your questions @fib

first off you cant give freedays in fo lol. second, i believe he is allowed to restrict areas unless another ct revokes that restriction. however you must give warning shots for restricted area unless its a kos location like catwalk. ive seen players like Tagwrack or other non mic cts restrict freedays with chat orders and no ones had a problem with it. yes mic orders override chat orders but thats mainly when mic orders come after the chat order.

you know you can always do an optional deathgame? its also not that hard to play a non map made deathgame without actually killing the T’s. for example you could force simon says or hoke day as long as no one dies.

the ratios fine 90% of the time. people balance it out themselves and if not admins will fix it. also i dont recommend shitposting your way to meet the 10 post requirement for admin. it doesnt look good in any way. you have to wait the month either way so id recommend putting a little more effort into your posts if you really wanna get admin.

im not sure if this is something that happens often since we only tested it once on either seekhouse or horror house (the second last one we tested). if you join late on first round it wont let you pick a team but you’ll spawn in outside the map on top of a ceiling and you can walk around outside the walls, under the floor or above the ceilings. when the round ends it still didnt let me pick a side for a couple rounds until i was teleported by an admin. you also dont respawn when the round ends like everyone else, you just stay wherever you were when the previous round ended. again, not sure how often this happens as we only did one test run of the map.

ive always seen it as “that person is on the board of directors” rather than an individual rank like AT. imo it sounds better and director is very broad. as mentioned with the other name changes you guys felt like it didnt explain what the role is. director of what exactly, you know what i mean? its not as obvious as modding team or server manager whereas board of directors sounds like a pretty important and high ranking position. how about cartographer instead of mapper. @Noxstar thoughts?

idk if its just me but board of directors sounds better than just directors. also i personally think the different teams sound better but it could just be being used to those names. im not against any of the name changes but except maybe directors but im also not opposed to keeping it the same.

we already had this and if I recall correctly it led to people abusing it by either spamming orders or haha n word spam funny type shit, just read chat lol

we used to have a fo system where it showed up on everyone's screen and i believe it got removed because people abused it. if you take fo you have 30sec of silence to give your order, people should realize by then and you can always say a couple of extra things like "CHAT ORDER ^^^"

if your LR is declined you cant be warning shot for it. ive seen this enforced all the time. CT's are absolutely allowed to deny LRs. if you send gun toss and the CT doesnt like gun toss (or its broken like rn) then they shouldnt be forced to accept the lr. you should be told to re-LR and either send it to someone else or choose a different LR, if it happens to be past the original time you cant be shot for it as long as it was declined. this is a bad idea in my opinion.

as i said on your LR thread, there are a lot of common sense rules where it doesnt explicitly say its not allowed but if you ask yourself "would an admin get mad/do something if i did this?" and if the answer is yes, 9/10 times youre right but people just choose to be le epic funny and haha trolled and exploit this because it technically doesnt say anything about it on forums. the reason all these petty rules have to be added is because of le epic trollers and its a pain for admins to deal with.

i could swear theres a rule for this somewhere cause ive always seen admins and regs tell players to get out of the way and stop interfering. its extremely annoying when youre doing S4S and another ct is shooting his deagle making you think your partner took his shot or when they run in front of your shots etc. as trazz said it technically is a rule but its more of a read between the lines thing. there was a discussion in shoutbox today about some rules being unnecessary because its "common sense" but certain players look for loopholes to exploit the system leading to staff having to create a rule for everything. in my opinion its a matter of admins enforcing the rule as all we can do as regs is tell people its not allowed until someone eventually listens.

for the first part, admins can't see anything and they can't just go off what people say. I understand your frustration but thats just how it is. there are some people that think every time they die they've been freekilled and never shut up about it to admins to the point where they have to be muted sometimes. if these people knew about !fk (I don't think many people other than regs know it exists) and it ct banned a person it would be heavily abused to ct ban strict players and people that kill the annoying twats that complain about it for 5 rounds. even though you suggest it should be done manually, people will attack the admins for not enforcing the x amount of !fk reports/# of players rule. a lot of times what one person thinks is freekilling is seen as perfectly fine by someone else, this has happened to me many times and I've realized I was wrong after asking the ct about it. its just not a good idea. for the second part, i didnt even know this was a rule. unless someones studied the rules and FAQ they prob dont know about this either and i dont blame them. now that this has been brought up and myself along with whoever reads this thread knows about it, the hardest part will be trying to enforce it because as im sure you know there are some people who think they know every rule and wont listen when you try to explain these types of things to them. its really just informing the jb server that this rule exists and making sure people follow it. as mentioned before, if you die because of a second warning shot (1-99 damage) thats on you, but if you get domed for a different order then your frustration is understandable.
