You can card quadfire with single core cards but you cant card quadfire with 5970 because it exceeds 4 cores. core quadfiring can be done with 2 5970's or 4 single core cards. so you can quad fire with 2 5970s or 4 single core cards.

You cant multi-card crossfire any of the cards with dual processors. The 5970 is the 5*** series' 4870x2 which has two cores which counts as two cards for cross firing so with 4870x2's or 5970's you can only crossfire 2 cards; and if im correct the 5970 also takes up 2 pci slots so you would be able to have 3 in your computer but only utilize the three cards since most cases have 7 pci slots.

true im learning that the hard way, i bought the 4870x2 back in august when i built my computer and its a great card and all but it account for 1/4 of the price of my entire rig and i wish i hadnt bought it maybe had i gone with something cheaper or waited for the 5*** series i would have had the money for a bigger desk or another monitor or games.

go and download CCC10.4 from the ati website, fixed my SCC lag

never buy a logitech headset they are complete garbage.(coming from a logitech keyboard and mouse fanboy) if i had to suggest a headset either go with razer carcharias http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153043 or something by Sennheiser

are you running an ati card or nvidia? when i first played splintercell conviction with outdated drivers i would lag when a lot of people were shooting and i updated the drive to CCC 10.4 and had no more lag

ya i was gonna say if you could open it up and make sure the display wire hasnt come loose or something

ive never used laptops so im not sure if this will work but try setting the external monitor to your primary display.

if im not mistaken you should be able to have the internal monitor replaced

so because the adapter costs more than the card you should buy a more expensive card? makes perfect sense
