  1. Unfortunately, this event will have to be postponed, The event will be next week: Friday August 14th @ 6PM EST. I have no internet and cannot host it today. Update your calendars!
  2. I actually quite like this idea. This would allow chat orders to be seen by all as if they were a hud message, just like it is in first order. This is useful for CTs that don't have mics and want to still give orders. I do have a couple of questions about how this would be implemented though. How would this be monitored/enforced? Would it be the same as first order, where it's punishable if people use the command to say like "!o Vanya sucks" or something that isn't an order? Also, would this mean that chat orders would be invalid? If there was a cooldown, that would mean that abrupt order changes wouldn't be possible. For example if a CT orders everyone to soccer, but there are guns there, they would have to wait fifteen seconds to redirect the Ts or tell them to freeze. I do agree that a cooldown probably is necessary to avoid spam orders or crowding, but I feel as though a different cooldown length may be better. Also, would this be a server-wide cooldown or just an individual cooldown? Some of these questions are very knitpicky, but overall I do think that this idea, if it could be implemented, would help people like @20 scrolls out a lot.
  3. It's pretty cut and dry. If you ask for first shot in a shot for shot and the CT agrees, the CT can't take a shot at you. They must take a shot anywhere that's not in your general direction. If they shoot at you, that's cheating the LR rules that they agreed to. It seems like you made this thread because a certain CT probably accepted your LR rules and proceeded to break them. If that's the case, try to inform them that they're in the wrong, and feel free to show them this thread as evidence if they do not accept that.
  4. I absolutely love having the CTBuy menu available to me when I play, and I do believe that it is balanced (props to themanagement team for coming up with this). However, one thing that I have noticed is that when you buy items from the menu, it only allows one to be equipped. For example, when I play CT at the beginning of each round I'll buy a medi-shot and a tactical awareness grenade. Then, later on in the round, I'll usually buy another one because I used the previous one. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on allowing multiple grenades to be purchased at once. This is a very minor change, and I don't know if this was done intentionally, but I'd like to know if there's the possibility to be able to purchase multiple items. For example, at the beginning of the round I would purchase a medi-shot and 2 tactical awareness grenades, using up my 500 available credits. This would allow me to have them on hand and use them whenever I want, just like how in competitive you can store multiple flashbangs. I do understand that this may have been set in place intentionally, to allow people to have the chance of purchasing them before they run out. I'll use tactical awareness grenades again as an example: each round, a total of five may be bought. By only allowing people to carry one at a time, it allows multiple people the opportunity to buy them, rather than more being concentrated into a select few. This brings me to my next and final point, which is not really related to the topic of the thread but worth mentioning anyways. I feel like a vast majority of the CTs have no clue that the buy menu exists. I'm pretty confident in this assumption because I have never tried to buy an item and have reached the cap. I've never gone to buy a medi-shot or health boost and been greeted with the message "the maximum amount of health boosts have been purchased already". This is also true even late in the round, I'm usually able to buy whatever I want even in the last minute of the round. I think that the buy menu should be pushed more in-game, whether that be through a hud message or a chat advertisement, like !fo has already. Yes there has been a changelog and a thread about it here on the forums, but a lot of our jailbreak regulars either don't have a forum account or don't check it regularly. If it was pushed / advertised more in the server, it could spark more interest for people to play CT, for people already playing to start using it, which would make the rounds more interesting. Hell, it could even prompt people to join the forums to read about it (I'm probably reaching a bit here). Overall, I'd like to hear other's thoughts about this.
  5. Since @Creten FORCED me to delete my post, I'll be bumping this thread now. The event is on Friday, mark your calendars!
  6. I actually thought of this event before, but it wouldn't work simply because of how the Retakes server is structured. There are only 9 spots, so only 9 people would be able to attend the event at a time, while everyone else would just have to watch which wouldn't be very fun. Cept said it best - knife fight retakes is fun when it's just a spur of the moment kind of thing, but a larger audience wouldn't work for this type of event.
  7. No problem homie. Also, I just confirmed with 20 scrolls, the AWP has only been moved to behind window on razor_go_pb (old razor), and is still in its original position on revamp, that's my bad. I definitely think the AWP should be moved on Revamp, but I think that behind window is the perfect spot.
  8. Again, the managers are working on incentives for people to play CT more, and once more release, there will probably be a good chance that good CTs are playing on the server again. I don't know when that'll be, but going back to the original thread topic, once that does happen the AWP secret will be perfectly balanced. I understand your frustration, but I believe that the cons of moving the AWP in this situation would outweigh the pros in the long run.
  9. Like I said before, there are phases of good and bad CTs. One phase can last a lot longer than the next one, but if you can tell, which I'm sure you can, the Jailbreak managers are working their asses off to try and create a better incentive for people to play CT, which is a hard thing to do without creating any secondhand issues. The ctbuy menu is a great start, and I don't mean to de-rail the theead but I'm pretty sure that most people who play CT still don't know this exists.
  10. Well, I'll explain it this way. There are going to be different phases of CTs and Ts in Jailbreak. For a time you can have super shitty CTs, and then the next day wake up to see regs and good CTs on. If the map is edited to adjust for a poor-performing CT side, as soon as good CTs get on they're going to be able to counter that incredibly easily. Next thing you know, the secret isn't worth going in, because it's been nerfed to compensate for bad CTs that have been replaced by ones who know what they're doing. It's a cycle, and it's just going to create unnecessary work in the long run. I think that specifically for AWP secret it's in a good place as of now, and it doesn't need to be changed. But I'd also like to hear a manager's thoughts on this as well. @Bacon @Infinityward
  11. @20 scrolls was the one who made the fix I believe, the AWP should have been moved to right under the window, if I remember correctly. Moving the AWP further is not an answer to bad CTs. If there are bad CTs there's not much anyone can do about that, except try to get good CTs on, play CT yourself, or try to communicate with your team better. But the map shouldn't have to be edited to give a crutch to poor-performing CTs or ones who don't know what they're doing.
  12. I have to disagree. The main point of moving the AWP to above window is that the rebelling T is required to enter the secret to reach the AWP. Before, they could just jump up, grab the AWP, and go back to garage. If the CTs move fast, they can easily trap the T in the secret and pinch them, or nade them to death. Moving the AWP was just to give the CTs a bit more time to have to counter someone who uses the third cell secret. If the CTs are slow out of armory, don't check the secret, or don't work together to take the T out, it gives the T a chance to take advantage. If the CTS work together, anyone stuck in AWP secret is basically dead.
  13. Sir, this is a Wendy's.
  14. I've made noodle soup a ton, but the point of this is to kind of branch out and try new things, specifically not touching anything asian. I may try like sushi or bao zi sometime in the future, but I also may make ramen / noodle soup as well, depends on how fast I run out of ideas.
  15. Ladies and gentlemen, I am extremely pleased to announce that Week 3 of my crusade has finally come! Week 3: Penne alla no Vodka As suggested by @John last week, this one took me like 30 minutes to make and it tasted really good. I also found out that parmesan cheese is expensive as fuck. Rate it 9/10!
  16. This also works for the floater juice console spam on Summer Jail.
  17. @corndog1o2 if you're still having problems at all you can reference this for help pertaining to your signature.
  18. well now i am not going to make it bitch (jk maybe after this week/next week's one)
  19. Unfortunately, week three may have to be postponed... quite a sad day for my crusade. I'll keep everyone posted but it's not looking too good right now.
  20. The most humongous, ginormous, enormous, epic thank you to @Strayyz for the banner! Cards Against Humanity Event! Cards Against Humanity is a fun game that gives you fill-in-the-blank cards which you have to come up with creative and funny answers for. There are two types of cards: black cards and white cards. Black cards give you a question or a fill-in-the-blank statement, and the white cards are your answer cards. You try to use your white cards to come up with the best response or answer to the black card. May the person with the most twisted sense of humour win! How do I join? 22. Discord Rules

I'm just going to state here what I've heard and what people have told me about the racism rule on Discord; I won't really touch upon the sexual content issue because I was not there to witness the game and I'm not exactly sure how the higher-ups handle problems that arise about sexual content, I just know that no pornographic content or overtly sexual content is allowed, and I've no clue where the line on that is. I checked out the game, and there really isn't anything sexual in the game (obviously, as it's meant for a younger audience) so I don't really see the need to lock the channel for that. If there were comments made on the other hand that were sexual that'd be a different story, but then again I wasn't there so I won't expand on this topic further. On the topic of racism though, as far as I know there is a zero-tolerance policy for any racism or racist slurs in any text channel on the Discord. If you wouldn't be able to say a word in a forum post or in the SB, chances are you're not allowed to say it in Discord either. Voice channels are different, because you do have the ability to make them provate, and whatever conversation that happens in a voice channel is temporary. There's no record of anything in a voice channel, unless someone is recording. I believe it's this way because of marketability; if I remember correctly, having a no racism rule presents ourselves better professionally to any possible sponsors and to people looking to join the community, but also being a bit more lax in terms of the voice channels doesn't have as much of an impact on that image. Feel free to correct me if anything I said was wrong, but this is just my $0.02.
  23. Here is a silhouette of @John (with help from @euro). Sorry my aura is in the way of this masterpiece.
