There aren't too many games which are crazy popular that have a community server function. A couple games that come to mind are: Battlebit Remastered, Deadside, Project Zomboid, Ark, Gmod, and New World. Sponsoring would be a great idea, but the issue with that is we don't really have the money to be able to do that type of stuff. And we aren't really an e-sports league. Catering servers to children is exactly what we need to do, but there are a small amount of games nowadays that have Community Server functions. CSGO is the best to KEEP, as it's still one of the biggest most played games, and the community servers throughout CSGO are (fairly) easy to use. CS1.6 or source is where this server started, I don't see a reason for the servers to leave Counter Strike in general.

Its been said, but it isn't a common occurrence anymore. It was for a time, its gone down. Thats subjective to your own opinion. I think seeding is a great foundation to starting the servers back up. Added with this, communication. But since you said you wouldn't read this I understand why you think thats the only thing thats valid... also before telling me to "find god" please go read some scriptures off of Psalms and relax. Okay this is the most talked about topic on the forums, that much is obvious. But instead of talking about the issue, lets solve it! What are some ways that I think we could attempt to revive our community? Look no further! As the answer lies What can seeding do? Well, as we are descendants of monkeys, Monkey see, Monkey do. If CA+ were to say "LETS HOP ON [SERVER NAME] AND HAVE SOME FUN!" Monkey see, Monkey do. People will see the population arising and feel inclined to join their favorite game mode! Fun enticing events that people will surely go to! Whether that be JB, Scrims, Retakes, or even our SURF SERVER?!?! Either way, events will catch peoples attention and most certainly drag them in! What is the next JB update going to be? When is the next TTT map going to be added? Is KZ ever coming back?!?!?! We dont know, and thats an issue. There isn't much for us to expect, if we aren't told anything. I think this should take the #1 spot but thats up to debate. Communication is important. But I guess if nothing is being done, then whats the need to communicate nothing? Fair enough. Even if you want something to be a surprise, maybe give us a teaser? An update on the (insert whatever) or if its really good and you'll KNOW it works, then keep it a secret. But things like, "Yes we are planning-" or "Yes we are working on something to improve QOL-" or something, thats better than a random update. Although communication has gotten better, giving us a weeks in advance about something happening which is good. But more doesn't hurt. Community Meetings! Lets get input from the community... AND we can tell you what the next server update will be! Community Meetings are fairly rare, and I get why, imagine a community meeting once every month to tell you nothing.. that would suck. But bimonthly Community Meetings when there IS something to add lets do it! Or even if you're running dry on ideas, maybe gather some of the communities suggestions and see how those will affect the servers, if they are worth adding or not. The structure of CMs are fine, but maybe let's gather everyones input and individually talk to them about it, or make a post a week after (or longer) showing what progress you've made with some of the suggestions, what went in the trash, and what are undecided. Last but not least! (Mind you I dont expect everything here to be added in, that goes for everything in the post. But as I like to say: A suggestion is a suggestion.) Honestly we already do this so I can't comment upon this. This issue or more internal than it is external.. So uh keep going Marketing! Don't let Mace kick your asses too hard Welp this is the end of this post.. You made it! These are just some things I think can maybe help! Hopefully the admins feel motivated now to help our community and well.

as i said, i forgot.. if your definition of working with someone is "hey this suggestion is good" or "hey this suggestion is bad (reason)" then closing the thread, i dont see how thats really working with me. adding a couple suggestions isnt working with me either, a lot of stuff i suggested was either QOL things (Join Server Rules thingy) or items that people may or may not like. if you looked at the server rules suggestion, it look 3 to 4 months to be implemented, sure SM swap was there at the time, but at the time stuff like that was being neglected and pushed away. map requests and removals would be ignored for months until one of the ca+ felt nostalgic and wanted to look back. there might be more things going in behind the closed door; but from the perspective of a regular, if we dont see shit, we are going to assume nothing is being done. if you took the time to read what i commented back before you could see that i already addressed this, but k ig.. and i never thought i could or would be the one to save the community, never did; but if the community is doing more "work" to try to fix the issue, i think thats where the problem arises. kabLe swept you with this. it was a joke, also at the time is seemed to bring a lot of new players in, maybe it was an illusion or just timing but it did seem to help, maybe im wrong.. but it was a joke, relax ty for rewording what i said but uh.. as kabLe and noxstar said, you guys are afraid to try things out due to the fact you don't know whether or not it'll work but at this point, and even before it really wouldn't have killed to keep certain things in (randomtele :O) or even add new things and see how those bode. i remember when you guys were like, "we're gonna start doing seed announcements for the server at {this time} and hope to see people get on" and even if it was 4 players, it worked to an extent. then you guys suddenly stopped, yes i know you were probably busy with IRL stuff or just playing a game to let off steam, whatever, those stopped, and the numbers saw an even more drastic decline after that (i dont have the exact stats since idrc that much but..) but if that continued/continues its so much better than doing nothing. if the mentality right now is "lets just wait until stuff fixes itself" rather than "lets try to solve the issue" then the issue really wont solve itself.

Honestly you're not entirely wrong with that, the initial thought of the post wasn't to shit on SM's but as time went on I became more of a dick. But I don't really remember SM's trying to work with me at all, maybe I'm just absent minded right now but it was more of, "Oh yeah, this suggestion you added is being put in." If that's what you mean, than alright. tbh I didn't realize until after the post when this thread was made, I thought it was more recent with the added comment of me saying, "kinda ironic." and what I said before that. But it wasn't me trying to like seem all high and mighty, just found it a tad funny that maybe (MAYBE) if measures were taken a bit quicker we might've saved something; but that's all in the past and honestly the only thing that CA+ needs to worry about is how to get people back on in the future, mb for the comment.

Didn't the servers start dying last summer? What'll make it any different? Honestly it does suck seeing the servers die as is. The biggest excuse I see to this is, "the regs suck so lololol" and kabLe made a good point with the lack of innovation added to the servers. Although there are only so many things we can add, its really hard to find the things that'll work for the servers or what wont. I really don't think regs are entirely the issue. I don't think the admins are to blame at all either, they are just as busy as any other person aswell, there are many new games coming out, or more people are coming out that are far more interesting than CS:GO community servers, but I do think it is up to the CA (or SM)+ to handle crowd control and try more intuitive ways to get people back on the servers. Lets swap dedis again! It'll work (joke... though tbh i think it technically would work but like whats the point of wasting precious resources for something to maybe not even work) The Events team hasn't touched TTT in awhile, but they have done events for other things; I don't know how successful those has been, but from the standpoint of bringing the community together, it works until the Event ends. Other than that people don't hop back on as theres no incentive to. So I assume. I know there are only so many event members willing to do TTT events, and I understand why there aren't any; it's not as much of an issue as I used to think, but I still think giving to the community, even when some of the community only plays on one server is just good overall. I remember like 3 or 4 months ago I talked about how the server(s) were dying and it was brushed off until it became an issue, and now a lot of things I suggested are now being put in place to attempt to help the servers, kinda ironic. Whatever the reasons may be, let's just hop the servers do eventually come back, and we can enjoy the server like we used to. - I just realized this thread was made in February oops

Its a great game honestly, if you're saying that based off of graphics than :/, but it genuinely is a great multiplayer zombie survival game.

Hey! This is just a suggestion I wanted to make for some time now and I think it'd be a nice addition to the servers, as it would be fun for friends to play together and have factions with each other, fight each other, (idk if it'd work well but idk) etc. Project Zomboid is a post-apocalyptic, top down view, where you can go through either the start of a zombie outbreak, (called Initial Infection) apocalypse, (not fighting is best advised) or even other settings thats improve on your settings. There are traits in the game that make you either very strong or incredibly weak, and you're the person who dictates that. Persay you were to have these positive perks like "Bravery" (Less often panicked) "Cat Eyes" (See a bit better at night) "Fast Learner" (Read Books/Gain XP a bit faster) and "Healing" (+1 Healing) you have to add negative traits so you're not OP, so like "Smoker" (Smoking cigarettes will make you happier, or you become depressed) "Asthma" (Lungs weak) and "Agoraphobic" (More panicked when outside) to counter it. Stuff like this honestly add a really cool mechanic to the game. The general story of the game is "This is how you died" and you're playing the game up until you die. Everything thats in the game comes naturally and its actually quite impressive how it happens. If you go in a house that sadly has ADT prevention and the alarm goes off, zombies around the area/neighborhood will hear that and start to swarm your house, fighting more than 2 zombies is difficult in an of itself so its best to leave, running through them=death. Every building in the game can be entered, and the game overall is very immersive. I think if we started a server it would gain some sort of population from their own respective fans, plus some folk at SG who play it who might love a multiplayer experience. Although the game is $19.99USD (about $22.79CAD) I think it'd be a great addition as a server!

I suggest Project Zomboid! It's a fun realistic zombie game which is incredibly difficult and rewarding. If you love TWD you'll love this game as you'll find yourself in many of the situations the people in TWD suffer/go through. How zombies act, how they can hear you, making huge hordes and what not, its $19.99USD but I think its worth it!

I don't want to entirely voice my opinion on the situation at hand, but Russia ahas finally taken it upon themselves to attack Ukraine, and so far its looking pretty bad. Social Media of course isn't taking it seriously at all, as expected; and I'm guilty of that too but the situation at hand is really sad and upsetting.

So if you spent 200$ to listen to DONDA 2... good for you, if not well its out! Its a step up from DONDA and JIK, personally I really enjoyed it. Him starting off the Live Event with XXXTENTACION with the song "True Love" and another feature from the long awaited, "Selfish" were honestly a huge but welcome surprise. Thank god Ye removed French Montana.. really didn't wanna see him. (Concert Starts at 2:42:50)
