I'm chiming in because the recent events in your star-spangled country have affected my country, which already has a strict and very intrusive background check for gun ownership/purchasing license here in Canada. From an outsider perspective, a good start to lower the chance of these atrocities starts with essential firearms control and registry across your nation, not state by state. Doing some quick research, some states control all the laws behind firearms respectively. Texas is one of those states. I believe it would be a start to have federal law to be on top when it comes to a uneasy and delicate topic such as firearms control, no one state should have a differing opinion on what counts as "safe" purchasing and usage of firearms. Having this laid out and set in stone by your federal powers in my opinion would be a easy start to *lowering* not preventing mass shootings. Doing so you could regulate licenses to purchase and use firearms, in Canada you have to take safety courses with tests you have to have a 85% or above on to pass. There is also intrusive questions about your mental health that have a chance at preventing your acquisition of a firearms license. Was gonna talk about banning firearms as well but infinity hit the nail on the head there. Here in Canada the list is going to keep growing because of the events in the states and 90% of the bans are because the weapons have a militaristic design and look "threatening" to most of the gun ban advocates here in Canada. We are officially on the verge of only being allowed to load 5 rounds into a cartridge when using a firearm if this new bill gets passed in the House of Commons. Also if you are saying only insane psychos commit atrocities you are incredibly naive. Some of the worst atrocities in history were carried out by some of the smartest people, who up until they committed the atrocity were active and contributing members of society. Overall there isn't a blanket solution to this whole situation. There will be toes stepped on regardless of what direction America takes, but there is steps to prevent and lower the chance of mass shootings in the country. You just need to get everybody on the same page first which I know will probably never happen.

Just reading that one section seemed split from the rest to me. And I wanted to shed that light after reading it to give you some insight on the ongoing things you might not currently see. But seriously join discord more, lol If you don't mind I would like to pick your brain about your comment on what you think CA should encompass. Being a former LA I am sure we could relate and brainstorm together on certain aspects of the rank. If you'd like to drop those ideas here or in my dms please do.

I really do think you need to join our discord more. Our current manager @ImHunterIRLalways does this and its unfortunate to see you suggest something that's already been happening. No offense but its showing your disconnect with the current state of the community since I mostly see you active here on the forums and not on discord.

Chiming in on this I would like to apologize as I'm picking and choosing what I'm replying to in no given order. But I hope my insight can help shed some light on my current and on going tasks. Right now I am researching and experimenting with a game called Deadside on steam. It has a small and tight knit community that has loyal players. I'm aiming to create a small starting server with the backing of a couple groups of people I've met within the game. Having a seeding team lined up and ready to go is one of my main goals to kick off this server. I'm hoping to achieve stability over quantity with the player base on said server as if I can maintain steady numbers I will surely pull in numbers over time. I am also working with Bom and Mikey on our Tarkov scene, we have some fun exciting events lined up that we plan to post on popular Tarkov forums such as Reddit and or Twitter groups etc. Don't wanna spoil the stuff quite yet but we're on it. Replying to this, if anyone ca+ has had a conversation with me I am a clear advocate that being transparent will yield more connection and trust amongst our player base and have no issue saying it again here. There are xyz reasons on why higher ups don't like this idea but as you point out, we can't go much lower then where we are now. I've been dying to see some sort of announcement post on the behind the scenes stuff and have pushed for it many of times and will continue to do so. From my LA pov I am in the midst of easing restrictions on who can apply for the yellow name. I feel there are a plethora of people with good ideas that don't want to go through admin to have a voice. And right now I cannot blame them for thinking that way. Near future plans are gonna allow for people to get to CA without the need of admin before hand. Announcement to follow upon it's release. Without saying too much more I have other unrefined plans on the way that aren't ready for leaking, and as always for all of the community I am willing to have conversation with anyone about any and all concerns/ideas in DMs or voice. Hope this post adds insight from my pov to help paint the overall picture.

The main way they get in is with a qr code scan which literally says sign into your discord above it. They say its verification but do not fall for that simple trick read before moving forward
