After 7 years on SG servers, I have to say that I am bored of it all (well, almost). No amount of new maps can make me play any more ZE. DarkRP does still have something to offer but outside of that I have nothing to do that will entertain me. It is a server where you can pretend to be a homeless anal predator who uses his custom built truck to kidnap people and the next day you can be a NKVD officer who takes hobos to his cellar to un-alive them. More servers that offer such freedom would be great.

Our last server cost $44/month. $20 servers are often complete shit but I suppose with sufficient research on the providers, we can try some out. ------------------------- Also I should mention that it is now possible to set up a 1.8.1 server with working plugins. We could also attempt Tekkit or FTB again ( which were quite popular in the past but demand a powerful server )

Hello friends. I am willing to do MC again only if: 1) We raise enough money to run for at least 3 months (which should be around 132 if we use the old host). If people pay for it, we will administrate it. (contact me or bom first if you are interested in helping fund a new minecraft server) 2) We assemble a proper staff who are actually willing to work on the server. As I said when the last server shut down: if there is ever a new server then we will need more staff. Me and Bom have briefly talked about some basics but I will let him share some ideas in here.

The income would be constant but there would be less of it. It is like a gym membership : you commit for a year after you see the insane deals they are offering but then use up only 2 months and they get your money. In our case they can't get ANY of the money back, even if they don't have the time or will to use up the remainder of their subscriber. This is a widely used system. Also, can we please set the price to $4.99/month? These are the basics.

I call anyone under 16 a kid. The kids we need to target will be between 12-16, not 8 year olds ( if I made it seem like it). If I need explain this further, I have to do it over steam. Yes, the bigger the package the more you save.

This can be partly solved by offering 3, 6 and 12 month packages that do not automatically renew. Not only do we have to sell subscriber to the child but also their parents - the information page for subscriber should look nice as possible with sufficient information. This will help the kids convince their parents to spend the money.
