  9. 1. Plug it in your actual headset 2. Plug the pink cord in the microphone slot/hole 3. Open up your sound card/ speaker control panel and see if "Microphone" is checked. It usually is for Realtek 4. Open up CS or a sound recorder and test it out. Notes: Use google or check out the customer support forum of Creative if my method doesn't work.

  13. If you're running cable then you either have a load of pirates in your area, your cables are damaged by the snow (happened a couple times to me), or you have resource hogging malware (goes for other types too)
