  1. yes, its called device manager. its under right click computer -> properties.
  2. oh. well you probably just have a sound card that is not full duplex, and therefore can not record sounds as well as play them.
  3. except im using "l" as lazy.
  4. well, for starters, anything showing anything pertaining to the subject. Yes, i see that you're using headphones, and do indeed have a mic.. im not sure what you're trying to show.
  5. try what he said.. not sure what the prob could be other than that.
  6. I say no deal because its more expensive than from your friendly neighborhood wrathek.
  7. Freshman Year

I wish I had no filler BS. I still am taking my last few filler classes and I'm a junior. but then again, as an engineering student, any class that isnt math or one of my actual major classes seems like worthless fillers to me.
  8. Freshman Year

fresh year of highschool was easy. so was sophmore and senior. Junior was pretty easy I just had a LOT of homework. Freshman year of college was easy as hell, as are just about every non-engineering class i've taken... all vastly easier than my (admittedly designed to be harder high school (the reason i went to that school)).
  9. I agree bro, but lets restrain from this kind of joking, some people don't like math or other hard work required for good money
  10. your friend sucks ass and logs of shit at computers if that stumped him. in RARE occasions it may not have FULL functionality or speed, but nearly every vista driver in existence can work just about perfectly under windows 7.. they use the same architecture.
  11. me too . also, im the polar opposite of astrum, i think. I started out at Texas Tech as a computer engineering major and learned from classes (and my distaste of most programming beyond C and Assembly) that i wanted to be in Electrical Engineering.
  12. you don't have to set up a raid. by default an OS will treat a storage device as just that, a storage device unless said OS is booted on the storage device. I personally have a HDD with the OS on it, and then a 2nd, much larger hard drive that i merely use for organized storage. Raid is only used for data redundancy and/or greatly increased speed. But since you plan on getting an SSD, this is a moot point. You'd format the SSD and install your OS on it, and the programs you want. You'd pop in your old HDD in another sata slot, and just put your music etc on that. You can pretty much think of a hard drive used in this way as a flash drive, they're both used in virtually the same way in this regard, as a dropbox of sorts.
  13. you definitely need a new one. means there are bad capacitors on the main board. I bought on off of ebay for REAL cheap to see if i could fix it, but ended up giving up and buying a very nice one off of newegg bc none of the caps even looked damaged. As far as brands, you can't go wrong with Samsung or Hanns-G. I personally have fallen in love with Hanns-G over the past few years, and just purchased the HH221 (on newegg, just search for it) and its fantastic.
  14. that has nothing to do with why it has bad support. its because its an os that was made before 64bit even existed, and so most manufacturers couldn't be arsed to make 64bit drivers for a then-ancient OS.
  15. Windows 7 Ultimate X64.
  16. Stop making so many threads Plox. Use the Search Feature Thanks Wrathek Out
  17. i don't play favorites very well. but uh.. i really fuckin love the ribs at logan's.
  18. sure its possible. but give up.
  19. has a more incomprehensible statement ever been made? like seriously what the flying fuck is going on in this verbal diarrhea? i can't even fathom what must've been going through his mind.
  20. i'd imagine its better drivers, no way a 8800gtx is better (at least, not by that much) than a 9800gtx. but yeah it could be a different system on 7.. i noticed it auto rechecks when the computers idle every few days i think. and yes, you do need to check pot. even if it means getting windows 7 *cough*my thread*cough*
  21. just a reminder that i still need to upgrade this shitty CPU
  22. sounds like someone needs to click the link in my sig :P
  23. i know.. no idea why people lie about the simplest things.
