there is surely room for argument. everyone here knows that an i7 or some phenoms outperform a Q-series. the point is if he gets a q-series, he'll save alot more money, meaning that he either could spend more on a graphics card and/or HDD, or at the least save money. idk about you guys but i never try to spend "the max" that im hoping to spend on something. and as i said before. even if he gets a phenom that is ~$150 cheaper, the motherboard is probably going to be more expensive.

@shadow: you speak only half the truth. You don't need to buy a new-series CPU, especially when avoiding costs. a Q-series (like pot has been saying over and over) would save him vast amounts of money (the CPU is cheaper, the ram is cheaper, the mobos are cheaper) @akaru: true, but you NEVER want the GPU as the bottleneck. Until we discover room-temperature superconductivity, we should all agree that the cpu should be the bottleneck.

iBP and CP are fine. although my friend tried to get one from iBP and after waiting a full month to get the computer, it was completely broken. we were so tired of them by then we just sent it back and got a refund.

not all do 1200 . the one i linked to has over 40 native resolutions, and its max/native reverts back to 10:9 for 1920x1080
