What would be the reason to post a leave of absence unless you are actually taking a break or being on vacation. If you are going to be active then don't post.

I know now why even if I try to read every post I cant. Here are our posts stats by month since the begining. I guess its a good thing to see massive forum growth but it is also nice to be able to find the important stuff.

First of all THANK YOU to all the people who have donated already. I can't believe we are past half way in a matter of hours. That just goes to show how strong this community is. We still have a bit to go but I think we are on a great track here. Q- What happens if we do not meet our goal? A- We see if our dedicated server provider will give us some more time to pay the bills (we probably don't want to take that chance). Q- What are the unforeseen expenses? A- We purchased our third dedicated server with surplus from previous months and if we kept our growth (which one could assume coming into summer) we would have easily afforded its renewal but instead of growth we lost ~20 monthly donaters. On top of that I had to renew our VBulletin and website in the same month. Also this month we spent $$ to purchase a backup/test site for web development which will allow us to test backups and work on a new admin management system. Q- What are we doing to make sure we do not fall short in the future? A- As some of you may have seen we are moving MiniGames and PB. The reason for that is to put them on our better dedicated server in VA (the same one that runs KF) which can handle them better and allow us to save money next month when we don't have to renew our TX server. That should allow us to build a surplus again just in case we stop growing or lose more members. My hope is that in a few month we open another dedi when we have the need again. Despite us dropping our TX server soon we can still run all the servers we have now without problem.

The community needs your assistance. If you can afford to donate any amount please do. We need to raise $300.00 over the next week (by June 20th). The lack of funds this month is due to a large number of cancellations and some unforeseen expenses. We will fall short this month if we cannot meet our donation goal. We are moving our PrisonBreak and Minigames server to a better dedicated server in Virginia. The moves have already been announced in the servers. Below are the new IP's of both servers. I am proud to announce that GarfieldH will be assuming the open position of Account Administrator. He will be helping me keep everyones accounts in order and will be setting up users on the forum. Please join me in welcoming Garfield to the AA position. Here is the full list of duties for this position. Manage community billing and subscriptions. Add new admins and supporter to the servers and website. Approve membership requests and setup users forum accounts. Setup new users for ventrilo and verify status of current accounts. Update members of their subscription status or lack of. Regularly audit forum groups for accuracy.

I moved our surf server today. It is now running on our NEW dedicated server which allowed me to increase the tickrate to 100. The move also allowes me to increase the size of our Napalm server. NEW IP 64.34.210.96:27015

We have changed providers for our fast downloads. If you have problems downloading skins, sounds, or maps from any of our servers please post in this thread the server and map name that is failing to download. Although I do not anticipate any problems we will need to know asap if any occur so we can fix them. Thank you in advance for your help.

The Board and I would like to inform the community that we had to ban yet another member who betrayed us. It seems that no matter how much you think you know a person they can always stab you in the left nut while your looking to the right. Asian Paladin who was a member since almost the beginning, and a former AO, has conspired to screw this community over by giving out private information and working along side Matt to fuck with our server via RCON. We also have IP proof from the server logs that match the forum user accounts.

Effective Today the way to become a member and regular has changed. A year ago people would be give regular status by admins. We recently changed it so that players could simply fill out a form to become a regular and with a simple background check they would get approved. The problem with that setup was that people who know nothing about our community could become "Regulars" as long as they didn't have any recent bans against their steam id. That de-valued the reputation of the regulars group by allowing anyone who could stay ban free to use the tag. Below is the new membership structure: Players can fill out our Become a Member form to officially join our community. As long as they pass a background check they will be approved and can use the tag of SG.Mem. Members who decide to stay active on our forum will be automatically upgraded once they have been a forum member for 2 months and have 100+ posts. Once their forum group is upgrade they can then use the SG.Reg tag. Honorable Gamers are long time members of this community who have been around for 6 months and have a minimum of 400 posts on our forum. The promotion to Honorable gamer is automatic once you have met the minimum requirements. *Current Regulars who used the old system to become a regulars will be allowed to keep the SG.Reg tag. This only affects future members.

Introducing Staff Reviews......If you would like to fill out a review for any "higher up" staff member use this form. I want to know your honest opinions about my staff. If I see a pattern forming about specific admins I will take corrective action whether it be correcting the person in question, timed punishments, or demotion. It is important to me that my staff is running this community in the right direction. This form is 100% confidential. I will not share any of this info with the staff. It will be used to inform me of what changes need to be made.

I am honored to announce that Red Tampon will be our new Vice President. Red has shown his loyalty and dedication to this community for as far back as I can remember and will do a fantastic job leading the troops. Welcome to the presidents suite. Kick your feet up and enjoy yourself because tomorrow I’m putting you to work. This promotion leaves us a vacant Board of Directors position. By unanimous vote Astrum has been selected as our new BD. Thank you Astrum for all of your hard work and with you on the BD team I expect great things from the Board. Congrats. TCP has proven that sometimes age does not matter. TCP is more mature then most people in their early 20’s and has earned all of our respect. He has also shown great technical ability in helping us with server issues including building servers. TCP is now our Technical Administrator. Good luck and keep up the good work. Now on to our Administrative Officers, this position has seen some turnover but we feel that these next two people will do a great job keeps the forums up to date and will make excellent decisions on behalf of this community. I am proud to welcome Matt and Beth to the AO family. Take a few days to get used to the orange color then let’s get to work helping the other AO’s. I have added a tool to automatically restart our dedicated servers nightly. I can cancel them at any time and will probably avoid restarts on Friday and Saturday nights but will keep this going as long as we don't have any problems.
