  1. Curious if any other vets on here are looking to head that way. I got a few months left on this Middle East contract then was looking to volunteer over in Ukraine and fuck some shit up.
  2. the most disrespectful thing in this thread @Gator @Black Rain @Maniac @BoM @crazedkangaroo When can you guys all meet to discuss this comment
  3. All the codes were sent 12 hours ago or so, i imagine they will be distributed shortly. Please make sure to check both Steam and Origin, as there are codes for both. There are two or three people that have Ubisoft codes, and I’ll have to get with you privately to try and figure how to get those out to you. A higher up will let you know if you have one of these codes and to reach out to me. thanks & enjoy
  4. Hey guys, I’ve dropped the ball a bit when it came to the giveaways. I’ve unfortunately had a bunch of work drama over the last three weeks and just recently became sick as well (thankfully not Covid). I’m doing alright~ish now and will start pushing out the codes tomorrow for the higher ups to start disseminating accordingly. There’s quite a few and I’m gonna try and knock it out in one sitting, but it might take a few days. Thanks for your patience, and sorry for the delay.
  5. I support a soft delete option that still gives moderators the ability to see what was posted.
  6. Favorite Kanye songs

I’ve never listened to an artist that I have such a love / hate with their songs. The College Dropout was such an amazing album, but after that Kanye’s songs for me are like 75% ‘how the fuck did they really think this was a good idea when they put this together’ and 25% are great, and that’s me being super generous. Maybe I need to actively listen to him again to get a better vibe. He has a lot of songs that he’s just featured in that i like…but as far as his songs, I’d say take a pick from College Dropout, but one that’s not on that album that hit me hard when I first heard it was Runaway. That’s probably my favorite song from him.
  7. Hello everyone, As we all know, society becomes more / less tolerant on certain things as times change. In this particular instance, I'm talking about homophobic slurs...e.g. 'faggot', 'fag', etc. I think we've all been seeing this coming for a long time, but we are officially banning use of the word 'faggot' (along with any variation of this) on every SG platform. This is a specific ban on that word, and nothing more. If caught using it, it will be treated like any other word on the banned list, however we are obviously going to be a bit understanding for a period of time while everyone integrates with the new rule. Additionally, to clarify a policy where we may have allowed certain words in private channels (whether locked or unlocked), on the servers, etc...I am going to say this to clarify our stance: Banned words are banned throughout all of SG, whether in a private channel, public channel, locked, unlocked, in the CSGO servers, etc. Unless otherwise specifically mentioned after this thread, there is no exception or clause to that. A banned word is banned everywhere on SG. If there are any questions, please let us know. I'm sure there are more words that people want to see added, which is fine, and you can bring them up the chain. We're taking it a bit slow and making sure that every decision we make is in the best interest of the community and its players. Thanks
  8. Job Opening

Air Canada is an airline company lol, Nav Canada is the actual air traffic system. They basically bought it from the government for like a billion dollars.
  9. Job Opening

I wouldn't recommend doing Canadian air traffic control at the moment. Pretty unstable with layoffs and whatnot right now since they're privatized. Collisions like that are, for the most part, largely not true...but make for great TV. There's just so much technology in today's aviation world and so many automated systems, that they usually catch something that is going to be dangerous. They used to exist and they still exist in smaller civil settings, but not so much with major airliners lol.
  10. Job Opening

Not sure if this would be better served in the Economics section or here, but here it goes: There is a 'no relevant experience required' job announcement to be an air traffic controller opening up on USA Jobs from July 30th - August 2nd. These openings do not happen often; maybe once every year to two years. Great benefits, pay, etc - probably one of the highest paying jobs that don't require a degree. Main stipulation is you have to be under 30. I highly recommend the job, especially if you have nothing else really going on and want a change of scenery with your life. Feel free to ask me any questions, whether on here or privately, and I can help out with the hiring process if need be. For those interested, just type in Air Traffic Controller into the search bar (but make sure you select the correct one, there will be others that are not applicable) on the 30th...it should be 12am EST. Apply soon, cause they often close the flood gates early after receiving a bunch of applications.
  11. The pandemic has delayed this quite a bit, but I finally got a deployment date. I quit my job back in February, and unfortunately the next morning was informed that I would be delayed quite a bit. It was pretty sweet having 4 months off...it's the longest I've ever had off. I haven't taken a break from working for longer than a week or two in 10 years, and it felt amazing. Definitely made me realize how unhappy I was at the last job and how important mental health was. Anyways, I'll be leaving in three weeks. As always, Gator is in charge in my absence. Additionally, he has the final say in any and all matters pertaining to SG. I don't imagine that I'm going to be fully AFK - but I will probably be as far as any discussions or decision-making for at least a week or so while I get set up out there. I don't think it will be much more than that, but I figure that I'll just put him in charge for now, just in case. Thanks all
  12. Strayyz is going to run the stream for me this Sunday and pick a winner. Thanks to all those who participated! Going forward we're going to try and possibly integrate a plugin into the website for this, as well as getting me set up on Twitch (I know nothing about how it works). We probably will not do one for the month of May, but look out for June!
  13. Thanks all for participating! I’ll post more regarding choosing the winner later today / tomorrow.

      how are you Caution?

  15. Only about 4 or 5 people are participating, so hurry and get your tickets in before tomorrow night!
  16. Bump - get your tickets! So far no one has participated, and at this point seems like an easy way to nab a $25 gift card, cause I’m giving it away even if only one person buys a single ticket!
  17. the old ‘dick in the bottom of the popcorn bag’ trick eh
  18. happy birthday dude

  19. Thanks for all the hard work and dedication man. We hope to see you back here sometime in the future!
  20. Sorry, forgot to put in the PayPal code.
  21. Alright everyone, This month we're gonna keep it simple with a single $25 Steam Gift Card. Buy-ins for the raffle are $1. Same rules apply as last time, and it ends the last minute of April. Make sure to message me with confirmation so you can get raffle #'s. Please let me know if you have any questions!
  22. only room temperature and only in gallon containers. I carry it around as an incentive to drink it. Usually do between a gallon to two gallons a day. I don't mind cold water if I'm in the middle of an Afghanistan summer, but in 95% of situations it's room temperature or I'll just wait. Same with booze. I think cold whiskey / liquor in general (unless it's a mixer for a cold drink) is gross.
