That may be part of the problem. Move the router into your room. Or get a really long cable and run it to the router, staple it along the baseboards so it's not unsightly.

Have you tried plugging into your router instead of using wireless just to see what happens?

DO NOT BUY!!!! I've broken THREE Pairs of this headset. I finally went with Sennheiser HD555s and a separate cheap Logitech desk mic. Sound is SOOOOOOO much better, and the mic is a lot better too. Yes it's about 40 bucks more total, but it's MUCH more durable and sounds A LOT better. Plus it's cheaper than going through multiple headsets lol.
