  1. Congratulations to all of you. Well deserved.
  2. Don't increase the timer; Increase the admins. Show these new guys that JB is actually not hard to admin at all and that they shouldn't be scared of the gaggle of screaming children and you wouldn't even need a timer. Obviously this is easier said than done but I believe that with the right people pushing for it we can go back to 2016-esq days where there was an average of like 5 admins from peak times all the way until the server died at night. The timer is a bandaid; more (competent, active) admins will solve the majority of the issues this specific server faces. Also, due to the demographics and extensive ruleset of this server I would expect a higher volume of complaints. Just because a vocal minority is screaming does not mean there is a major problem, For every complaint thread on the forums you have 5 people enjoying the server not even worried about whatever issue is being presented. At the end of the day people are going to make mistakes or even intentionally break the rules whether the timer is there or not.
  3. remove this nephew
  4. Well deserved @Third!
  5. Which soccer teleport are you talking about? Regardless, I don't think that this idea is the route we should take to achieve the end goal here. I Think at this point it's important to remember that our server has essentially been a deathmatch compared to other servers for its entire existence and has historically done pretty well for itself. I think that there's a reason that this variation of rules and maplist has stuck for so long and that plenty of people probably prefer it that way. I'm not opposed to change or tweaking the rules per se, but, I don't think adding a feature to one map that lowers the skill gap and game sense required to be successful would be the correct way to go about addressing this perceived issue.
  6. Well deserved everyone!
  7. I haven't personally experienced a single deathgame in the hour and a half i've played since the rule change.
  8. time to eat, lets get it @Manny

  10. Pretty sure we could just prevent the mines from damaging T's pretty easily with a generic 'If then' statement but it could be more complicated than that because I have no exp with source pawn or retros coding.
  11. Good idea in theory. The biggest problem facing this would be the logistics of running this competition and how flakey the people who sign up for these things are.
  12. You're one person out of hundreds of server regulars. I reject the notion that you speak for the entire community especially considering the most popular maps at this time on the server.
  13. Still disagree. I'm not even the jailbreak manager anymore and I know that allowing these games and introducing a level of subjectiveness to a community that is as argumentative as jailbreak is unnecessary. I think that map made death games are more than enough and maybe this is the managers way of trying to ease the community away from maps such as razor. I've never really gotten why CTs expect jailbreak to be made easier for them when they literally hold all the power on the server anyways. Anyways, give better orders on razor and you'll never even make it to lrs in the first place.
  14. I think the managers implemented the rules regarding which death games can be played on purpose. I don't think that these death games should be allowed because of the increased potential for abuse and or conflict arising from situations created from allowing these sorts of games.
  15. That's a little extreme. Do I think that a trivia plugin would single handedly populate some of our servers? No. Do I think that it could help us retain players who may have otherwise left while the round was still in progress because they don't want to wait? Yes (well kind of.) For this idea to work there would have to be some sort of 'carrot' like a leaderboards or potential extra credits. I don't think it's fair to immediately disregard a potentially fruitful endeavour just because you speculate that "No one is gonna even know this thing exists after a while and it will just be there for nothing" when there's literally no evidence to support that opinion. I'm not saying that it will be wildly successful but I also don't think that it would go completely ignored and just the sliver of a chance at retaining population is enough for me.
  16. I think it could be a good idea. I think that maybe something like a dead chat trivia plug in would be good for keeping kids content with waiting in between rounds on servers like jailbreak. Not sure how feasible that would be though.
  17. It's also kind of the point. It turns playing CT into a competition so that players are incentivized to try and provide the most enjoyable atmosphere possible through peer pressure and the basic human need for acceptance and validation.
  18. I think that maybe implementing something like having the t's vote for "best" ct at the end of every round and possibly having the winner receive first order could provide an opportunity for some of the more charismatic people on the server to really have a chance to set the tone and provide a positive and fun environment for all players during peak hours (25-30+ players) You could even track the amount of times someone has won the vote and display that on a leaderboard.
  19. I like 'Swamp Protected' better man. this idea is going places dude.
