Most of you don't know what i will be intending to do in the War. i will be an Infantry Soldier. these are my duties to be an infantry soldier - Expertly operate and maintain a wide range of personal and section-level weapons, including rifle (with and without bayonet), hand-grenades, light, medium and heavy machine-guns; and anti-tank weapons; - Use sophisticated equipment for field communications, navigation and night-vision surveillance; - Inspect and maintain weapon systems, vehicles and equipment (including clothing, survival gear and personal defensive equipment); - Participate in airborne operations; - Operate with support elements such as fighter aircraft, tactical helicopters (troop-carrying and reconnaissance) and artillery; - Engage in unarmed combat; and - Employ fieldcraft and battle procedures including camouflage and concealment, patrol, assault, defence, and escape-and-evasion tactics. and Andre. You were close for the weeks. its a 13 week Basic Military training. (BMO) you can either choose basic, or special training. witch is higher up. Doing BMO you will be learning policies and regulations of the Canadian Forces CF drill, dress and deportment (DDD) some basic safety we learn first aid personal survival in nuclear, biological and chemical conditions handling and firing personal weapons; cross-country navigation and personal survival in field conditions. Advanced Training, is basically you can be instructors to BMO's you can be an instructor for infantry , first aid, Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defence Instructor, and so on. I have an excellent opportunity, for this Career Development, and also Soldiers exist across Canada and on deployed operations around the world. Hopefully that answers some things

Well its my time now, im leaving for the army in a couple days for a 9 month tour in iraq. I just want you guys to know that, its been a great experience with you all and i enjoyed every minute of it, i met a lot of great people here, and i tend to come back and have some fun, the reason i havn't been on is because i have been training a lot and well its time for me to go, it sucks because christmas is near, and my family is really sad that im leaving a couple days before christmas, im leaving on Monday. Once im not on patrol they do have internet and computers there, so i will be able to communicate some times, but not all the time and probably not for long, thats all i wanted to say, so Farewell. ill miss you all.. - Mark.
