As I become more involved with computeras and technology in general, I wonder what the difference is between these two types of RAM (other than obviously one is newer than the other). Why is it the DDR3 is much more capable than DDR2, and why is it that RAM of the dual channel and tri channel types are faster than their slower counterparts?

Alright, so today when I went to log into steam I entertered my password but it wouldn't work, so I'm like "WTF?". Thinking it just might be an error on my part I clicked on "forgot login info" so I could change my password. A few steps later it sent an email to me containing a verification code and a secret question. But whenever I entered the secret answer and entered my new password it would always say: "cannot change password, either your new password is invalid, or you entered your secret answer incorrectly" I'm pissed now becuase I've tried this dozens of times but nothing is working, so I can't get into steam...any suggestions?
