If that is the case, then the rules more or less haven't changed at all, and rdming and leaving (as long as you have evidence that it was on purpose) is still bannable, which means I mistook the entire meaning of this post, and it doesn't effect the way I admin at all. So I hope you are right

He says pretty specifically that it has to be a serious (or mass) issue, so unless I'm taking that too literally, unless it's a case of mass rdming, you wouldn't be able to ban off of that. A single revenge rdm and leave doesn't seem to be a bannable offense, unless I am mistaken. Which is why I have been trying to clarify it so much, because it seems to me like we just aren't going to be able to punish people in situations like Kuro brought up

Ark was a piece of shit when I bought it and tried to play it, and personally I'll probably never reinstall it. But I know some friends that really liked it, and it has a avid fan base. So I probably won't play it, but I'm not going to try and stop you or anything lol

Honestly you may be right, it may be less common then I was lead to believe. But I saw it, and then was told it was done often. Although maybe it isn't a big deal. Hence why I questioned what I should do if I ran into it again. So apparently, it's not a big enough deal for me to act upon it

I get that I can't ban them after dcing, but I was asking if this is against the rules or not to do that, as apparently some of our regulars do it on a regular basis. Although even if it was I guess I couldn't do anything about it. Edit: I guess what I'm asking is if I see someone doing this, SHOULD I bother trying to make a complaint and get them banned or what? Could I ban them after them doing it so many times? Try to record it to get proof? Or will you guys take my word for it? So lord knows I don't play JB much (I often refer to it as PB still) but on my last occasion I ran into something I didn't really know how to handle, and now with the recent rule clarification, would really have absolutely no idea how to deal with, especially as someone who doesn't frequent the server. There was a player whose name I honestly don't remember but is apparently a regular, who said he had to leave. So he ran up to where the Ts were ordered to be, stood maybe like 10 in game feet away from it, slayed himself so he would drop his weapon, and DCed. I would consider that basically gun planting myself, but if I'm wrong about that then I guess this entire thread has no basis. And yes, I know a while back there was a thread about making a plugin to prevent this that I shot down fast (even though it's not my call to make). Honestly I still don't think making a plugin to stop this would be that worth it, but I was told that that player in particular does the same thing often, and one of the other regulars whose name I do remember even told me that they do it too. Obviously I didn't punish anyone for it and was going to just let it slide. But if I decided that if I want to start playing JB more, and I can expect to see this kind of thing, I should know how to handle it. So my question is, is this actually against the rules, and if so, what kind of action should I take? @Jake @Delirium @Caution And sorry if it seems like I'm trying to be difficult about this kind of thing, but I'm just trying to make sure I'm able to change the way I handle thing correctly

@Caution One more question, but will previous bans for rdming/freekilling etc and leaving be held against people? As in I request for "420blazeitfag" to be permed after three bans, but one or two of them were for rdming and leaving. Would those be considered invalid or maybe taken with a grain of salt? Maybe not the most pertinent question, but I figured I'd ask just to clarify

Well, er, the threads not locked so I guess it's ok to post questions here? My biggest concern is the fact that I've banned countless people for rdming and leaving. So basically that's not ok anymore/was never meant to be ok? That's a huge revelation. I get that if the offense wouldn't have deserved a ban, then it doesn't really make sense to ban them. So I guess it's kind of up to admin descretion whether the offense was big enough for a ban? I get where you are coming from, and if they have already been slayed, then they leave, that's not a reason to ban. But if they leave right after freekillingn/rdming before we can warn, we still can't ban? That's gonna be a lot less people banned TBH lol

Honestly, this just sounds like one of those "more trouble than it's worth" situations. I don't play a lot of jb, but is the issue really big enough to create an entirely new plugin for? Unless the other one could be easily altered or something, I can't see this being worth the time. Plus we would probably have to make new rules to avoid it being abused, plus test it would and do a bit of editing to make it optimal. I just don't see the point lol
