  1. Slenderman

    I don't get it.
  2. How exactly does one get HG?
  3. Link to new thread please.
  4. I am Spy - Play Free Online Games
  5. Haha. These are pretty amazing.
  6. My question is how does one even obtain HG?
  7. It's a popup that says "Click here to check if you have a virus." Either you click the popup and the virus gets downloaded, or you click the big red X and the virus doesn't download. So /facepalm for you. You had a choice to either click on it or X it out. And apparently, you clicked on it. I always get those popups when surfing the web, I just click the X.
  8. A good PC?

No gamer needs 12GB. Like you can run 5 games simultaneously and still not need 12GB, I think. The most memory a game has taken for me is like 500MB-1GB. Look for a computer with the same specs with 6GB, as Shadowex3 said. This will save a lot of unnecessary spending.
  9. I think AntiFurries should have a ingame tag. xD

Like Members have SG.Reg, Regulars have SG.Reg, etc. We should have one like SG.AF or whatever. But I think you would need to speak to Haggard or someone to do this.

  10. Leslie, or Akaru.
  11. A good PC?

Everything you posted is very overpriced, but I don't think you reside in US, so that would be the reason. The first computer is pretty good, but 12GB of RAM is pretty useless unless you do hard core multitasking and stuff. This computer could be worth 1,900 (don't know the prices outside of US), but if you can find the same specs with half the RAM, I thought it would lower the price a lot. The second computer comes with a GT 230, which really blows. I would not even consider that a gaming computer. More like a HTPC. So it's definitely not worth 1,900. Third computer is just bad. HD 4550 is the start of the mid-range graphics cards of that series, which, again, is more like a HTPC computer. Phenom is definitely not a gaming processor. I'm not too sure about the fourth computer. But again, it has the GT 230. All four of the computers are extremely overpriced. I can't imagine computer enthusiasts outside of America and how much they need to spend just to get a decent gaming computer. Ouch.
  12. linux help

Wait for 7 would be my suggestion, since you want to switch OS anyways.
  13. I WANT YOUR GEILS!
  14. +repped. I love how you tell him to wake up. BECAUSE YOU TRULY DID GET JIPPED. Stop trying to make yourself feel better by saying you got a good deal. Cancel the order RIGHT NOW and get something else. As Cloud says, the computer would have probably been with it, TWO EFFING YEARS AGO. This computer is worth no more than 600.
  15. I agree. I recommended this computer to my friend right after you posted the link.
  16. If I ever got a new graphics card from Nvidia, I would get something that is 2 generations within the current one, and the last 3 number is 600 or higher (which is the Mid-Range GPU starting point). Since the current generation is the GeForce 200 series, I would either get 9600 and up, or a 8600 and up. Just customize the PC and click on the 9600 in the graphics card option of that computer. It's 28 dollars more. BTW, the 9500 is a big improvement from the 7600, but I would rather get a 9600 or higher.
  17. That never happens to me. Mine pops up immediately. The only thing I can think of is either what OP posted, or your computer just blows.
  18. If you are replacing your CPU, you WILL need to buy new thermal paste.
  19. You got jipped so bad. I can get the exact same specs of your computer for 600 dollars. GG. I don't know where to start. Buying an Alienware was a bad decision if you wanted to get the best bang for your buck. You pay at least 200 dollars just for their name. AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+? They don't even make or sell this anymore. Alienware was trying to get rid of their remaining Athlon 64 X2, since it isn't made/sold anymore. Also, AMD is not a choice for a gaming computer. All of the low power consumption crap should not apply to gaming computers. Gaming computers are and will always be energy eating machines. 2GB of RAM? For anything over 600 dollars, it should at least come with 4GB. Seriously. 2GB is not even an option for computers that cost over 600 dollars. 250GB hard drive? 500GB is the bare minimum for anything over 500 dollars. (I can be wrong about this one). And it only has 16MB of cache? Wow. And that 150 dollar shipping & handling and tax? Wow? Really? 150 for S&H and tax? That insane. Better luck next time getting the best bang for your buck. Come to Shadowex3 or me before buying a computer. I hate seeing people get jipped so bad. It saddens and angers me. Shadowex3 said the wrong name. He meant Chainedlord.
  20. After reading SoulKeeper's posts about Godly and heavens or whatever, I thought the banned person between J-K was Jesus. Then the Cheez-Its explained it all. As a newfag here, I will ask who is [Name Removed]
  21. After seeing this computer, i recommended it to a friend who I am helping get a new computer. If he does buy this computer, I will tell him to buy it without a dedicated graphics card and the cheapest power supply available. Then I will go onto some e-tailer or go to a retailer and grab a GTS 250 and a 450+ watt PSU. That will run him about 700 dollars. Then he will spend another 80-120 dollars on a monitor. This is the exact same technique I used for my current computer. Except I got a prebuilt with an E8400 and 4GB RAM for ~ 450 dollars, ~ 100 less than the above computer without a graphics card. Also, I cheaped out and got a 8600 GTS. So my computer came out to 600 or so after the PSU, graphics card, and monitor. So you might want to use the method I used if you get the above computer.
  22. Haha. You're so great. You know more about computers than me. I can give less of a shit. I can do the same thing you can, build my own computer and that's all I care about. And yes he is a friend and yes I am buying a prebuilt for him. Why? His parents don't believe that I can successfully build a computer because I am a kid in their eyes. I am only 16. They would rather go to a licensed professional rather than me. The fact that I am helping him is unbelievable. My computer is a prebuilt with a new case and graphics card and it has yet to break down, except for the stupid DVD drive.
  23. Actually, this is a pretty good computer for it's price.
  24. First, I never said I won't buy them. It comes with the cheapest crap ever, but does that stop me from buying them? Nope. Second, the computer is not for me. I can care less/more about what is in another person's computer. As long as the person receiving the computer thinks it is a fast and good computer, I am good. My friend knows jack about computers, so as long as the computer is cheap and he can run all high on CS:S he is fine, since he is upgrading from a 1.3GHz Pentium with 1.5GB RAM. So there you have it. I don't take either sides. I never said I won't buy prebuilts because they come with cheap crap. I just listed out that they come with cheap crap. Nowhere in either of my post mentioned that "I will never buy a prebuilt". Try again?
  25. Thanks for your help, but I am going to TigerDirect with my dad next week to get a new drive that is SATA.
