Can someone sticky this This guide is for people who don`t know how to change your Counter strike source background into this or this To change your boring background your going to have to follow these easy steps Step 1. Make sure you have winrar or some extrating program. Step 2. go to http://www.fpsbanana.com/guicats/3 and find your favourite background which you want, make sure that the screen resoultion is accorfing to yours or the picture might be distorted. Step 3. once you have found your background with the correct screen resoultion click download, now this is where it gets hard for some of you people, once your are done downloading you might have three folders or more or might have none but what you are looking for is a file that says the name of the picture you have downloaded and it should say something like this at the end of it .vtf, an example would be say if you wanted this background http://www.fpsbanana.com/guis/19573 then the file you want is bloody_typewriter.vtf. Step 4. once you have located your file after downloading it, you have to extrat it to the desktop, then open up your counter strike game files which should be located in your C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\~yourname~\counter-strike source\cstrike\, once you open up cstrike go to the folder materials and open up the next folder called console. Step 5. replace the file that is in your console with the file you have downloaded example bloody_typewriter.vtf and then open up counter strike and there you go a whole new background enjoy.

If it is your connection then try this internet speed test it will tell you your ping if it is less then 100 then the servers were messed at that time, if your ping is higher then 100 then you need a new connection. http://www.speedtest.net/

its probally not your connection its probally the servers because they have been down for a whille because of some scripters, the problem will be fixed ASAP dont worry.
