  1. Because Imperials are just as racist as the Nords? You think the Empire gives two fucking shits about the Nords and traditions? Fuck that bro, let's introduce politics and force your workers to abide by OUR law. The entire idea behind the stormcloaks isn't "fuck da man xD!" it's, "get the fuck out of here this is our land, you have no reason to be here" the nords had traditions, had honor. and for that very REASON they hate the empire, the empire itself is a cowardice, a fucking dog with his tail between his legs. the thalmor was decimating the empire in the war, and the empire, the political beast of the elder scrolls, cries. they hope to not suffer defeat by abiding to the rules of the thalmor. the nords are exactly the opposite, they would NEVER cease their worship of the gods, the empire means for human rule to go out with a wimper, while the nords believe in going out with a bang. The nords fought hard for the land against the snow elves (who were actually kind of the bad guys because you know, they killed a shitload of humans for no fucking apparent reason other than "well shit you guys are making a ton of babbies"), and for allowing the elves to come right the fuck back in? disgraceful, the empire is weak, and should never be allowed to truly rule skyrim, less it simply be traded off like
  2. v0v ive had my 180gb ide wd hdd for about 7 years and it has yet to fail, and i currently have 2 seagates working fine in my pc and 1 wd as for headsets, i can't recommend anything TBH, but i'm currently using $20 headphones (sony mdr-xd200's, though i think sennheiser hd428's are like $45 (aka 55% off) Amazon.com: Sennheiser HD428 Closed Circumaural Hi-Fi Headphone: Electronics overall sennheiser's are THE BEST in the business, even their entry-level (hd 201's) are the best. i just like sony because i've had good experience with their headphones (my mdr-v150's lasted me about 6 years until my dog chewed the cord, bought another one and still have it today, just like the XD200's more) as for mic, if you want quality you're going to have to spend a lot, there's a huge price gap between good mics and bad ones. good mics are the ones that aren't those shitty logitech/zalman/whatever mics that cost $60. if you don't give a shit, just get logitech's USB $20 mic. it's probably your best choice. don't buy clip on mics as they are omni-directional and pick up all sorts of background noise. but if headset is a must... probably logitech's is fine, steelseries sibera v2 sucks, just listen to psyche talk on ventrilo. turtle beach is okay but overpriced. plantatronics i dunno but probably just as good as logitech's stuff. as for ext drives if it's a must, just buy a drive and get an external enclosure with a fan on it. but seriously, if you want quality, Sennheiser HD428 for the price. You're getting a $100 headset for $45. No doubt in my mind this is the best quality pair of cans on the market for that price.
  3. TTT but if we could try updating sm so we get a newer rtv plugin it could fix issues where RTVing doesn't work by default. TTT is fine atm except for the rtv not working. nvm sounds like it's fixed! but we're using 1.4.0-dev atm, and stable 1.4.1 came out a while ago. 1.5.0-dev is also out! never hurts to update nvm... it doesn't work lol, if you dont have >15 people it wont do a map vote
  4. ITT: Skyrim Mods

terrible quality too cause it just edits existing textures rather than making new models. we'll have to wait on the toolkit to come out for decent furfagrapeponyfestprostitution mods also i dont know if that 4gb thing is right... before it only allowed more than 2gb, i'm not sure. that certainly isn't the one i downloaded as the title was LAA or Large Address Awareness patch, but it seems to be completely gone. Maybe the 4GB is just the new version, I'm not sure.
  5. HDDs cost a lot atm due to flooding. the best bet regardless is seagate, western digital, etc. anyone who says either one fails is blinded by fanboyism. they have about the same exact failure rate.
  6. ITT: Skyrim Mods

Holy fuck that shader screenshot looks amazing. Anyway here are some I use (i also use a glass retexture pack that makes glass armor/weapons have a sort of black tint to them, and i believe i have elven armor looking with a darker tint as well) No More Blocky Faces at Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim Mods and community Self-explainatory, makes faces look A LOT better. Enhanced Night Skyrim at Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim Mods and community Just something I thought was neat, makes it so there's a lot more stars in the night sky. Glowing Ore Veins 300 at Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim Mods and community Makes mining ores easier by making them glow Skyrim HD - 2K Textures at Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim Mods and community Texture pack (makes game load slower but fps impact is minimal) Chris2012s Whiterun HQ Texture Pack at Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim Mods and community Same thing but for Whiterun only. THIS MAKES LOADING WHITERUN REALLY LONG. There's also the Large Address A-something on Skyrim Nexus.. But I can't find it. Makes it so Skyrim uses more than 2gb of ram and avoids crashes. Maybe someone can find it but I can't :[
  7. PC Upgrades

    THEN SUGGEST ONE.
  8. PC Upgrades

So by that logic a 650W psu can actually have 800W. You're definitely helping Silva by proving my point that his current PSU pick is fine, are we done here?
  9. PC Upgrades

and after the paragraph i wrote you still don't acknowledge what i said (and somehow half your message is you touting around your college degree e-peen. Wow!) a psu cannot be fried via playing a video game, instead, if you have bad cooling, it's possible your psu can be fried from melting caps which cause it to melt and kill the psu (tends to not happen due to caps being somewhat decent quality from good manu's like corsair, antec, possibly even a few others). and even then, if your psu was to be overheating, it would have to be at asinine temperatures which would also bare a tooth at your hardware itself. the people who you talk to are retards, and you're dumb for bringing it up in the first place. psu failures happen very very rarely, and are probably the lest most failed parts in the pc due to their failures causing catastrophic damage as collateral. but psus tend to not cause that type of damage like house fires, or whatnot. they just >shut off you did not suggest he get a better psu. you suggested he get a higher wattage. higher watts = depends on the efficiency of the computer, how much you're getting $/watt, etc.. his pc build would never require more than 600w of current power. you recommend he gets 50w more of a psu. how the fuck is 50w going to make him avoid buying a new psu in 3 years? not to mention, if he were to keep the 650w as long as possible, he would most likely get a cheaper psu in 4 years when he buys parts that have cheapened in price. Choose a Power Supply - PCPartPicker Look at comparison between 700~ and 600~ watt psus. it's a fucking $50 difference. he wants this to be cheap. also most motherboards are fine just so long as you read reviews on design issues and customer support issues. generally buying anything with >4stars and >40 reviews will net you a decent motherboard, and understand most people who have complaints, go back and review the product while others tend to not be bothered to come back and give reviews. asus idk in the last few years, but they were pretty meh about 4 years back and they were one of the first people with EFI bios if i recall, but that doesn't make them great. Personally I think my MSI mobo is fine, and I'm glad they are doing native pci-e 3 support, rather than gigabyte who lied to consumers about it! believe me, most motherboards are usually fine, there's never really any "hit or miss" motherboards that are going to give you major headaches. but: silva that mobo is 16x and 4x sli making it a 8x 8x sli mobo. you don't want that. you want atleast 16x and 8x (slight performance loss as compared to 16x and 16x but it's very negligible unless at very very high resolutions (aka eyefinity stuff)) wat am i saying. are you even going to SLI? i've noticed both boards you picked were SLI compatible (the first one you posted is better btw because 16x and 8x) also after doing more reviewing, your cpu isn't very good PassMark Intel vs AMD CPU Benchmarks - High End a phenom ii x4 can beat it.... what's your current cpu? i don't know if dishing out extra dosh for this would even be worth it, PassMark CPU Value Chart - Performance / Price of all CPUs value wise it's good... but you're going to have to upgrade in another 2 years to keep intact with new generation games especially when console market gets revitalized.
  10. Epic lulz

Registered under: RonaldReaganFan1965 it begins. register really redneck names (aka dont be named "tweezy", tweezy.) get on ventrilo tomorrow at noon central http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ (central = minneapolis) dont post in old threads make your own content in new threads. (because 99% of this is made by other trolls). seem legit as fuck
  11. as opposed to buying crap apple gear built in the back woods of china. i agree with farmer mick, you're an idiot.
  12. le reddit secret santa? XD! awesome i signed up for teh karmaz tho!
  13. PC Upgrades

you're retarded. anyway, after relooking at that psu however, it's probably shit tier anyway, unless cooler master is using good caps, which i doubt. corsair is usually a fine brand to go with anyway. also zeke, for information on why you're retarded, a game wouldn't kill a psu, it would shut down if it got overwattage, which rarely happens, and if it did. it would shut down. your friends are retarded and probably fried the psu because they bought shitty ones. never once have i ever heard of a psu frying from doing extensive workloads. not to mention power consumption is largely different from what the manufacturer recommends for a psu. the page is asking for a minimum of 450w for the PSU itself. if you look at power consumption on video cards, you'll find very little of them ever break 300w, not even high end ones will do it often even on high usage, the gtx 460 1gb barely breaks even with 250w, and that's doubtful at best. i gave the cpu a little more space as i don't know how well amd's consumption is, because as from my experience, they take a LOT of power already from the old line. regardless, the psu is fine but corsair and antec are probably more trusted brands.
  14. PC Upgrades

Why? He's not SLI'ing at all. His gpu doesnt draw more than 300w on load and the cpu wont drop more than 300w either.
  15. I had a Logitech MX518 (really great). Currently using a Intelli-mouse Explorer 3 I think. The Logitech MX518 (it's the G400 or G500 now) is really great. I recommend that one completely.
  16. PC Upgrades

side fans generally don't do anything regardless of placement on intake/outtake from what i've seen. personally you'll be fine with 1-2 intake and 2 outtake (one rear, one top). if the problem is parts being pretty hot still i'd suggest looking into better airflow then, as 3 correctly placed 120mm fans should keep your pc very very cool
  17. Lol, i own a turtle beach px3 and it broke within 6mo. headphone screw broke off and the attachment broke as well. lots of glue and tape on it but i dont bother using it it's such shit.
  18. PC Upgrades

the hyper 212 is great regardless i guess, i have a antec300 illusion and have the fan set to 5%. the copper pipes are great and dissipate heat very well, if you have a good top exhaust fan and a good intake fan on your front you wont even need the cpu fan (it's not very good, it's pretty loud, dunno bout the EVO's fan)
  19. PC Upgrades

Gonna put it out there: Intel. i5-2500. That's all Next your case is fine, another fan could help if you stick with AMD as their parts generally heat up more. Card's fine but you'll need to upgade eventually. I recommend the cpu cooler, very nice indeed. BUT Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R1 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+ this is a LOT better as the pipes that connect to the cpu have less gaps (the current one you want has some gaps inbetween and that hurts your temperatures a lot) Can't think of anything else really.
  20. hot käts

I have a finnish grandpa in canadia and can confirm this is definitely what fins do. All of it, the sauna, the cats, the beard.
  21. Has to be creative... so you take ideas from people online all of my what
  22. Mumble

yeah just add one of those forum form fill out sheets and we can just use that
  23. Dunno off hand, but if it's serious then you're going to have to swallow your wallet and fork it over if you need to. Can't recall another time where this has happened, also the case and vid card you have is fine, i was just making the suggestion of getting something better, the performance boost from the vid card would be alright but not amazing. the case itself is fine as well, just watch out for the loudness of it.
  24. Wait on buying HDDs until price reduces, use your current one for now. They are $50-$100 overpriced due to flooding. As for your case it's a full atx when you don't need that big of one, I recommend the antec 300 personally. As for your ram, you definitely don't need 16GB, 8gb would do fine. Next I'd recommend buying Intel, and not just because AMD sucks, but because Intel's i7-2600 would be better buy than the 8150. Regardless, I recommend not buying amd due to multitude of cores not performing well in games due to poor optimization coupled with the fact you only need at best, an i5-2500k on intel's side. If you just want a super fast cpu, go with the i7-2600, as it outperforms the 8150. Next your motherboard needs to change regardless of what CPU you pick, you are buying a triple sli/crossfire mobo when you're only buying 2 gpus (by the way, the 6950 IS the way to go, and your psu should be able to handle it (just make sure it has enough 6 pins, if not, buy some 4pin molex to 6 pin converters)), i recommend trying to cut costs a little by buying a 2 sli/crossfire mobo, as even if you think that later on you wish to upgrade a third gpu, i would definitely not recommend it as that mobo has it's 3rd pci-e slot at 4X, which won't take full advantage of the gpu. lol i found this one: Newegg.com - ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS still has a 4x third pci-e slot but it's cheaper and basically the same specs from what i checked over, feel free to look at it as i'm kind of rushing this can't htink of anything else atm, other than my case i recommended you might not fit the 6950's. might want to do research on it but i just cannot recommend a full-atx tower. it may be great to have all that space, but in the long run it's not going to do you a whole lot it being a HUGE FUCKING TOWER. off the top of my head if you want cable management i'd say uhhh Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Advanced RC-932-KKN5-GP Black Steel ATX Full Tower Compucase Case with USB 3.0, Black Interior and Four Fans-1x 230mm front RED LED fan, 1x 140mm rear fan, 1x 230mm top fan, and 1x 230mm side fan is a really great full tower and probably has same specs for the same price (after rebate) and more, i dunno, ill look at the cases more later but this is just my suggestion for now forgot to mention this, SSDs would be a good starter buy if you don't want to buy a hdd due to inflated prices, as i believe ssds are still at the same price and perform mcumccuhcuchcuchuhcuh better than any hdd ever made. your choice! they cost a LOT compared to HDD's though as usually (not right now, however) hdds are as low as .2 cents a gigabyte but ssds are almost $1! also, Newegg.com - MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III PE/OC Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity buy two of these instead, i made a mistake you're about to make where i bought 768mb of gtx 460's (you buying 1gb of 6950s) when there was a 1gb available (2gb for you), DONT DO THIS. buy the 2gb, the more memory the longer sustainability to you will have in the future ESPECIALLY for games that use anti-aliasing or when you use dual monitors or a abnormally large monitor.
  25. Perhaps you're right and I'm just being paranoid. As for my CA suggestion I meant as more of a rank concurrent to TA just as a group effort between 3-5 people making sure the server stays maintained. Think of andre and ze, just that you have 4 andres to make sure the server is stable and content is being added, as it is not out of the norm for people who maintain servers become inactive or just plain uninspired (not trying to bark at Andre at all, as he has done great strides in ze). As for CA perhaps I should've used a different word other than CA as I understand it was used differently, just couldn't think of another rank name to represent what I was trying to convey. Anyway, was definitely not trying to start something, was just trying to address issues that scurred me, sg is a great community but I wouldn't want to see it dead, maybe next time i should stat check better
