What's your rig going to be? You already posted what your CPU is but what of your GPU? You might not need 650w> if you aren't running high on your gpu which tends to be the most power consuming part.

Corsair is great. Really for PSU's you just want to go namebrand, ie: Antec/Corsair. I've had RaidMax/CoolerMaster PSU's before and they are fine as well. The hype surrounding PSU's is dumb. Just so long as you don't buy any cheap $20 1000W psu's you're fine. Also that PSU isn't modular. Modular PSU's are amazing and I recommend them.

dealing with micspamming t's is a pretty common occurence and although not stated in the rules, i tend to give no fuck about micspammers and just point blank kill them if they are trying to outtalk me when I give orders. iirc you aren't suppose to do that but with no admin/muting ability then the only thing to do is kill them. and by micspam i usually just mean yelling loud shit when im trying to give orders, i don't mind T chatter i just hate it when people are purposely trying to yell at me so i can't give orders.

voxels are still a good alternative to geometry and whatnot. you can make static objects using voxels and then use polygons for models requiring animations (ie your player). but voxels would make great landscape

I'm betting Wake Island will be resized. From the look of Metro it sounds a lot like this is going to be another small mapped bf game :/ I'm still going to buy it but after what Metro was I just don't have a lot of faith in what DICE is doing.

running alpha smoothly at 1440x900 gtx 460 c2q q6600 2.40ghz. dunno but i crash A LOT however. but fps rates are nice and smooth

get a machine to process everything. but in all seriousness does SG need something like that? maybe something that automatically makes ventrilo users (after an ao/bd/etc does a quick checkover to assure no one is spamming it). Or maybe a membership app that automatically checks sourcebans for any bans. neat stuff that might require a little bit of programming but could possible save hours of work in the long run

Budget: GTX 460 768mb. Got mine for cheap ($99.99 though the cheapest i can find atm is $129.99). Mine can max BC2 on 1440x900 and >60 fps. Dunno what your screen res is

I'm not familiar with the CCC for ATI cards but have you messed with any settings lately? I'd try a system restore before you go replacing ANY parts.

Antas does this happen in any other game? Is it just CS:S? What's your default CS:S settings? Are they turned very low?
