Anyways, the problem is that when you compare a cs:s game to a web browser, you take on two things, one cs:s only uses the resources necessary, while a web browser will attempt to download at full speed the pages it wants, hence when you lag. What you can do is install Netlimiter on their computers, and limit their internet to a reasonable amount, in my experience you should ALWAYS carry atleast 40kb/s for a cs:s game, but you actually don't necessarily use all of it, it's usually quite a bit less than that. As for torrents, you can download torrents and play games at the same time on pretty much any connection except for those shitty phone-line ones, what you need to do is limit your download speed and upload speed. I cannot stress that enough, you may not get it done faster but if you have a 150kb/s line, have torrents dling at 75kb/s, and you're iming & gaming, you won't have any lag. Unless ssomeone else is using your internet. So what im generally trying to say is that you don't need a new package (unless your connection is Also if you are using a wireless router make sure you use a great password and use WPA/WPA2, as WEP password protection CAN BE CRACKED WITHOUT BRUTEFORCING. However, WPA/WPA2 cannot. Just use a really secretive password

First, I assume you have restarted, if you haven't do such. Next, you should definitely try a system restore, it's the hassle-free way of unfucking your PC. To disable a Core I assume your bios would also do the same, go into your bios and check the MIB (i figure it would be in there, of all places) and see if you can re-enable. delete everything in your steam folder except steamapps and the steam.exe, runsteam.exe

hey i remember there was a thread earlier where a person had a problem with downloading on cs:s, and he was linked to a ftp that hosted all the files on SG, ex maps i just need this url so i can download the maps when im on a fast connection as i play CS:S on a very very shitty connection, and to download a 30mb file is so thanks in advance

I use a special wireless utility that only works on 7, vista won't work for some odd reason, and no it's not on XP mode. and windows 7 isnt completely based on the taskbar you twat, some people bought 7 when they had XP so maybe they wanted to retain that feature.

Hey, when I first got windows 7, one of things I hated about it was that shitty taskbar, it felt like I was using a glob of shit. So I did a little researching and got it to look like Windows 1 through Vista Heres how: First - Right click your taskbar and select toolbars, and click new toolbar. Next, click the new toolbar and enter in this in the Folder blank %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch like so: Now you'll notice the Quick Launch bar on your right, you should unlock your taskbar, switch it over to where its usually positioned, right click the Quick Launch text, and remove the Title and Text of it, so it's like normal Next to make the open apps look like they use to in the first screen shots. Right click your taskbar again, this time click Properties Now in the 'Taskbar Buttons' select menu click Never Combie, it's also a good idea to make the icons on taskbar small by checking the 'Small Icons' in the window. This will now make Windows 7, your XP bitch! Good job, thanks for looking If you need to know anything else just ask.

imo no reason to upgrade to ddr3 unless you're going for an i7 and some crazy ass gpu with it. ddr2 is perfectly fine for another 1-2yrs
