To elaborate on the above - we do not, and will never advocate for the use or advertisement of cheat programs within CSGO, either on our servers or not. While gentoo claimed that he did not and would not cheat on our servers, his thread was a blatant advertisement and (to a large extent) explanation advocating for using and/or trying out cheat programs and software within the game. What might have been meant as an "experiment" could well have lead to many people trying out these programs themselves, and ultimately potentially being VAC banned after trying them on our servers. The Board stands unanimous in its decision that we will not allow any form of advertisement or implicit support of cheat plugins through actions like the above. While he did not provably hack/cheat on our servers, the act of advertising and admitting to trying these things completely removes our trust that it would not be repeated on SG's servers - hence why we made our decision.

Good evening everyone, Firstly, thank you to everyone for being patient and open-minded during the last few weeks. We have made a lot of changes and there are still a lot of moving parts, but I think that the changes we're making and the restructuring we're doing is going to be looked back on as a huge and important milestone in the evolution of Steam-Gamers. Without your support of our team, these changes would not be possible and would not work out. So, from myself and the rest of the team, thanks for sticking with us and we look forward to seeing how things look going into the future! That being said, our higher up staff has been working their asses off to get these changes put into place. There have been countless nights where many people stayed up late discussing the changes with myself and Caution, working out the larger picture and even the smallest details. With that, I'd like to recognize one person in particular, who has put a huge amount of work into not only the new structure, but also to many of the teams that are now in place in order to ensure that they are where they need to be to be successful. The newest recipient of this award - who is 100% still a dweeb - is @Black Rain. Please join me in congratulating her!

The process shouldn't be too difficult though, my brother did it and the practicum is fairly straightforward, though some of the science-based things you learn are a little bit more indepth so there's that. Not sure if CA and USA are a lot different though.

We have decided that for the good of the community that we will try doing some things differently in order to keep us in line with the rest of the community market in CSGO. Because of what we've tried doing in the past it has become necessary for us to push past our apprehensions and take some necessary risks to keep things current. Btw there were absolutely no lies when we decided against doing this in the past lol. With new ideas comes the want to step outside of the box, and that mantra applies here as well. We will be doing what we can to make you all happy and will make changes where it is deemed necessary to do so.

Work has been fucked this month so pretty stressed. Luckily May starts tomorrow and the pressure lightens up a bit. Honestly I feel like I'm coming down with something partly due to my lack of sleep and overtiredness from April.

While we work on filling the marketing team up with a manager and members, myself and @Caution are handling the marketing side of things.

The members page has been updated to reflect all of our new ranks. There is an issue with showing members who have multiple ranks (i.e. the CA page is empty right now) but it will be fixed soon.

This is definitely an intriguing idea and something we have thought about during the large transition process that is ongoing. However, at this time we have decided as a leadership group to leave the generic / senior admin structure at a global level - this is not to say that the positives for such a system are not recognized. If the discussion for server-specific admins comes up again later on when the new rank structure is in place, we will reference this thread as it has a lot of good discussion and points for and against. As said however, we will not pursue this at the current moment. Thanks for the suggestion!

We don't have that functionality built into the system today and it would take some dev work to get it working. The entries are coded into the database and currently there is no automated/functioned way to say "ok refund this to this steamid" - it would have to be manually removed from the db table. I don't really think there is much need for it right now as in general you should just be mindful of what you're buying before you press the buy button. In the future if we get a lot of requests we could look into it though, but for now we are working on other, higher priority projects on the technical side.

Applications are open to anyone who wants to apply. We will obviously judge every applicant based on what we are looking for experience-wise, but I wouldn't say you're absolutely out of the running without any. If you have a drive and willingness to learn we could always consider that as a good thing

We had a couple of different ideas/statements about who would be able to apply for these ranks. Let me confirm with the team on which one we're actually going forward with as I know we have said two separate things in the past couple of days.
