Yes, I would prefer to build my own desktop. If you guys pick out the parts, I'd appreciate it. My budget is maxed at $600 because I remember a year ago Haggard built his desktop with help from Jager for around $500 bucks and it played TF2 really good. I can only assume that parts for a desktop has gotten cheaper and $500 bucks can get me something a lot better.

I haven't been gaming for awhile now so I was wondering if anything new and exciting (in the computer industry) has happened while I was gone. I'm afraid to go buy a new desktop because of the possibility of getting ripped off and I'm afraid to go build one because I don't know what is new and good at this time. If anyone has any recommendations for a good desktop, give me some thoughts and insights please so I can finally start gaming again. Actually... I think this is a motherboard problem. If an external monitor doesn't even work, then there's no doubt that nothing's wrong with my laptop display. I think toshibas are programmed to die after their warranties are up. -_-

My gaming laptop's fucked. The backlight and the monitor I think blew out or something, so now I don't have a laptop to play L4D2 when it comes out. Plus, I still haven't received my paycheck yet. Looks like I'm out of commission for another couple of weeks.

Quite fun actually. I wouldn't mind going back there again. Loved the training, loved the schooling, loved the people.

Lol thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'm glad to be somewhat back. Anyways, to answer Red's question about my lack of activity. My gaming laptop is locked in my uncle's house at the moment. I'm waiting for him to come back to the city next week maybe so I can get back on it again. In the meantime, I'm using my buddy's laptop and it's a 1gb so I really don't even want to attempt getting Steam on this comp. I'm also waiting until this Sunday to get my papers processed and getting my paycheck sometime before Thanksgiving. Once that is taken care of, I'll be blowing a lot of cash on some necessities so that I can get my life in order. I'm in a very new and different situation compared to the last time I've been hanging around here. Hopefully I can get things sorted out so I can start haxing people on CS:S again.

Lol glad to be back. In a week I'll try to get on Vent. As of now, I'm at a buddy's house.
