Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\download and delete the folders: materials, models and resource. Then re download them freshly It isnt a server issue, because they work fine for me and everyone else

What tweezy made you download was for the character font "Arno Pro Display" this doesn't mean it will fix your problem, as counter strike source uses a different style font.. Like I said, I dont know how to fix it.. Just giving what I think is the problem.

It has to do with different font styles that are not built into windows.. (AFAIK) I to will get these square -Its just the way Windows displays text it doesn't know.. I really can't say anything specific... As I always just shrugged off this issue
